what he said....vegas is begging you to take UNLV and lose. unlv is a different team on the road and i can see new mexico winning this one by double digits and getting into the top 25
Not even factoring in the home court advantage, New Mexico is a 5 pt favorite over UNLV. Saturday game, ranked team on the road vs unranked team, conference game..... all the makings of a big bet for me.
Edit: The game's @ 1 PM EST? That's a weird start time. Big bet down to small bet, can't trust these college kids playing early games.
The start time is a bit disconcerting. Kenpom ratings for these teams are #11 New Mexico vs #28 UNLV. Revenge could also be a motive considering New Mexico lost 80-63 last month at UNLV, one of only 2 losses in their last 21 games, 19-2 NM record.
SDST was one of two teams to beat New Mexico at their home, and the only team to beat them at the Pit in over 3 months. New Mexico recently returned the favor beating SDST in San Diego on Wednesday to exact their revenge. UNLV's reputation might be disportionately boosted by a very early season win against UNC and a strong start in general. I perceive some value in New Mexico here and have already bet them.
Well, the Showgirls might have looked ahead on Tuesday night when they let those potheads at TCU go over 100.
They might have been thinking about getting the national game on CBS in the Pit(cartoons getting knocked off for this game in the Rockies and West Coast).
As a guy who lives 5 minutes from the Pit, I couldn't find a ticket all week.
Wish I could have made this game, but instead I'm gonna watch some of my friends on National TV getting their 'howl' on the corner of University and Cesar Chavez.
This town is incredibly pumped up for this one.
Lobos have been getting better and better and they double digit beat Surfer college on Wednesday in a hostile environment.
ANyone like the under due to the early tip? Seems like teams could be a bit off early...then again the Pit is crazy and will be rocking, so maybe its not an issue...
NM 19-2 in last 21
NM lost 80-63 @UNLV last month, revenge?
NM lost 2 home games all season and only 1 home game in 3 months
NM's home loss to SDST was avenged when they won convincingly at SDST Wed
Dom Chamber's big play is on UNLV
Kenpom ratings are NM #11 and UNLV #28
To anyone who does any significant numbers crunching New Mexico has been in the top 25 for a while and UNLV has been slowly creeping out of it since a fast start. Hell even the Kenpom ratings I mentioned in my 2 other post here are better than what the media uses.
