It's Kansas; better recruits, more rings, more of everything. Taylor has first pick talent. Robinson first pick talent. Look at the Coaches. KU 1 seed damn near everyyear. KU ATS lose by 1 if at all.

    Jim Dunkel says:

Game 559-560: Kansas at Baylor (7:00 p.m. EST)
Dunkel Ratings: Kansas 73.517; Baylor 76.572
Dunkel Line: Baylor by 3; 149
    Vegas Line: Baylor by 1 1/2; 143 1/2
Dunkel Pick: Baylor (-1 1/2); Over

Jeff Sagarin says the game is a pick.

I'll play the over, Dunkel says the total is off six, Dunkel's totals are usually (not always) money

If you had a coach in here who installed some sort of offensive system for Baylor, this team would be nearly unstoppable. Instead, they've got a very lazy system of picks and standing around waiting for someone to individually do something more often than not. Any good coach with time to prepare for Baylor should be able to devise some sort of game plan to have their team in position to win.

The BU offense looks more NBA-like than anything and while individual talent can win you many a game against many inferior opponents, as someone mentioned above - KU is by far the better "coached" team. Doesn't mean they will win tonight, but Self's system works with the players he recruits. Drew recruits the players and doesn't really install them into anything. Amazes me that coaches won't admit their weaknesses and at least have an assistant on the club who could be the offensive "genius" ... but that's why so many of these guys let their egos run them out of jobs.
Drew is certainly evolving when it comes to Xs and Os and game management. take a look at all the close games Baylor has closed out on the road this year. on the top of m y head I can count at least 5-6 on the road where it resulted in a 4-6 point win. the most important thing about this team is THEY KNOW HOW TO FINISH AND CLOSE GAMES OUT.

if Drew wasn't evolving as a coach all those 4-5 point road wins would be losses. bad coaches teams do not finish and lose the close games or the final possessions cost them game. this is certainly not the case this year with Baylor.

you just proved my point entirely about how this line is based on school name reputation with that post.

this is not nearly as a dominate Kansas team as you see year in and year out. not even CLOSE. this is one of the weakest teams they have put on the floor in the long time. sure at Lawrence they look awfully good....but when Taylor is disinterested they are certainly suspect.

and on the road.........well...even more suspect.

Completely fkn crumbled folded like a bunch of big pussies. Dominated early on looked like they coule run em out the gym than take a lil jab in the mouth by ku run b4 the half and never get up off mat and respond.

    Just lifeless and pathetic.

Beating average teams like OSU & A&M is one thing, tonight is another example ... team is falling apart and he has no idea what to do to fix it. This team has zero offensive discipline and until he implements better game plans and finds the ability to adjust better against good coaches, Baylor is going to find it tough to beat teams that they are probably more talented than ... but are better organized and coached than they are.

By my math, Baylor is currently down by 20.

Will this at least slow down the constant 'nobody knows how good Baylor is' threads for at least a week?

    this.

Which team would you take if they magically played each other on Saturday? Baylor or Duke?

    Not even close.

I def will not be playing this team against highly ranked opponents the rest of the year. lesson learned.

I have never saw a team start out with such confidence and explosiveness. and take a lil tiny jab KU goes on a small run to end the half and they went into the locker room like the game was over, come out second halve and throw up shots that a 6th grader would take. turned it off 5 min into 2nd half so gross.

This thread was honestly my deciding factor on fading Baylor and cashing with Kansas.

Also, the fact that Kansas hasn't lost back to back games in like 5 years!

this isn't an across the board rule

but always take this into consideration

in college bb never ever and i mean ever bet a .5 point to 2 point home favorite

over the long haul it is a losing proposition. you will get buried

I understand that. whenever a home team is laying less than 2 points, the line makers feel that the home court is of no advantage and the line is def favoring the away team in most cases.
I honestly just believed this line was based on school name reputation, alone. BU folded like a cheap suit.

    i wouldn't say they folded

    kansas is way better

baylor fed off the home crowd the first 16 minutes and the cream rose to the top like it usually does eventually
