you handicap that as Ryan Clark not playing-simple, don't make it too hard. Rest of the Steelers showed up.
I had the over at 33 1/2 knowing they were safety short
crushed that 1/2 way through the 3rd quarter

If you lived in the Rockies you would know that the altitude has an effect and you would also know that the air outside your window is the same as the air inside your window.

You lived in the Mid west??? I'm pretty sure it's the Midwest.

    Anyway, keep posting. It's fun.

darrell c'mon, of course altitude matters. But picking this game right was not a matter of handicapping. It was dependent on those that have been to future.

I purposely used Ryan Clark as an example just to verify that you think the air is different outdoors. I honestly didn't think anyone was that ignorant.

It obviously doesn't effect well-conditioned athletes as much as it does the normal person but it does have an effect.

I just have one final question. Why is the air different inside?

Well, you're the ones that over thought this and took altitude as a factor.

And you're going to lose your wager because of it.

Point is don't consider altitude for handicapping basketball, plain and simple.
Get that crazy shit out of your head.

I won and you lost. That's why you lost tonight.

Thats because oxygen deprivation never becomes a factor in indoor sports.

    Are you watching this game?
SDSU is no where near being tired.

TAKE NOTES POSTERS- ALTITUDE IS NOT VALID TOOL FOR HANDICAPPING BASKETBALL.

    You're welcome!
And most of you will be eating crow after SDSU completes a double digit victory.
Altitude plays a huge role, have you ever played sports. I have played in Big Bear Lake about 7000 ft above, and San Diego (sea level) and there is a huge difference. Wyoming simply came out flat tonight and SDSU is a lot more athletic. A game to watch for is SDSU game against Colorado St this weekend. Colorado St will have a chance to upset them, SDSU players will come back home and go to classes tomorrow morning. I believe all the traveling will take effect its next game SAT.

Who took Wyoming because of altitude? I sure as hell didn't.

Wyoming has been a good team this year and they were at home. SDSU is up down at times. Picking Wyoming had nothing to do with altitude.

    Is the altitude worse outdoors?

Two of my best friends live in Colorado (Denver/Boulder) and I go skiing up there every year but what the hell do I know? What does Mike Tomlin know? What does common sense and modern science know?

For those of you that lost and capped the game because the Aztecs were sleep deprived, or like Wyoming's home record, sorry for your loss.
Tough loss, just on the wrong side and good luck on your next wager.

To those of you that capped on altitude-

Who capped a game solely on altitude? I think everyone agrees that is stupid. Obviously teams aren't going to win just because they play at a high altitude. I don't see anyone arguing this.

Me taking Wyoming was more of a fade of SDSU on the road. I also liked the way Wyoming has played this year. The line indicated my line of thinking was correct. Ultimately it was wrong. I'll take the loss and move on. It happens.

    Lost big here.

On to the next one. Oh yea. Wyoming is awful, they had every advantage outside of talent.

line makers have had SDSU pegged wrong ALL year. Wyomings bread and butter is their defense...but they can not score. the difference here is Steve Fisher has done a stellar job with this team and their defense the last 2 years. everyone always over looks their defense and rebounding which is their strength but they also can score at will. Chase Tapley will be a 2nd round pick and Jamal Franklin is turning into a star.

Aztecs too many athletes and too deep for Wyoming. this game still isnt even being close to sold out and SDSU is very comfortable playing in this gym over the last for years. dont over think it.

    this +1

my only worry is that Wyoming smacked the shit out of Colo ST and held them to their lowest point total all year.

but the Rams are a totally different team at home. they shoot over 50% from 3 at home.
