    Wvu +5

West Virginia is a solid pick Monday. They have played an above average schedule, winning nuetral court over K St. WVU has Kevin Jones, who has been the best player in the country up to this point. UConn just lost outright on the road to a horrible Rutgers squad Saturday. Whether they were looking ahead or not, Rutgers is a scheduled win. WVU has a good coach also, who teams play defense. Which should help b/c I think UConn is easy to guard.

    GL to all

    Already on it. This confirms.

Jones will give UConn trouble. Just hope WVU shoots halfway decent.

you hit it on the head No Coin. This play jumped out at me at first glance too. However, WVU fg% drops drastically with true road games. Low 40%. They shot above their average in the Rutgers blowout, but then went 17-52 @Seton Hall. Also had a -6 rebounding margin in that game, and that's their bread and butter, right? Just playing the devils advocate here.

Not a true road game it is @ the XL center in Hartford (whatever the fukkk that is), not Gampel which is on campus. Big difference

Yeah I put 3u on this game. I got it at +4.5 though. Waiting to see how the line plays out.

is it really a big difference? I thought UConn was right outside of Hartford? I could be wrong.

uconn is located in storrs,ct. maybe 30 minute drive to hartford. depending on what and how you drive. i think west virginia is too young of a squad to overcome the talent of uconn. uconn is in a get up spot imo after losing to rutgers.

Here in lies the dilemma with WVU. When they're on they're real tough otherwise?

Has next to nothing to do with distance. So if Duke played at the Greensboro collesium it's the same as Cameron indoor because its 30 minutes away? No it is not the same.

I really don't give much weight to home court this time of year anyways when most students are on break

Uconn is overrated, their high ranking this year is all based on last years team. If you have watched a few Uconn games you can tell that they are going to struggle vs. top caliber Big East teams. They are still a good team, but they are not a top 10 team and might not even be top five in the big east. 5.5 seems like alot of points to give WVU with the way that Uconn has played lately, wonder why the line is moving in Uconn's favor?

Did not even shake me. I saw it happen B4 it happened. All I could do is laugh. But Huggins showed off a great coaching acumen. He kept his team composed during the last 4 intense minutes. To get "backdoored" after a wire to wire cover is tough. Nevertheless that is why pros guard from using a large percentage of their monies on one bet.

UConn lines are always so "sharp."

The lines are an estimate they will hit once in a while, they are as sharp as dog shit. You cannot make a spread sharp or whatever that means most of the time, human beings play the games. There are a million games where the line lost by a number nowhere near the spread, and maybe a thousand that were close calls oer "sharp". Stop talking about the lines being sharp, it is impossible to know. The casinos are a different story.

Last night was the fifth UConn game already this season out of 12 that was decided ATS-wise in the last possession.

There's a reason I put "sharp" in quotations.
