    NEVER ceases to amaze me how so many games come down to the wire ... llike Long Beach & NBA Bucks landing right on the spread within a hook. I can see one game once in a while, but all these games all the time falling on the spread amazes me. Even the totals are mind boggling, like over/under 132 at Vandy that ends 69-62, or over/under 193 at NBA Phoenix that ends 102-91.

    Turn 10 guys loose on a basketball court for 48 minutes, predict pregame the total points scored to be 193, and then it lands right on 193? It's mind-boggling to me. Once in a blue moon, ok, eventually you'll miraculously & coincidently be right. Though every day, in many different leagues, an abundance of the games land right there (or come down to the last possession), or darn close.

    Seems virtually impossible to me to predict pregame what a total will be. You got 10 human beings playing a game, 48 minutes long, with unlimited scenarios on how the game will turn out, don't you? Just puzzles me how the outcome is so often so close to the line, the last possession, within a hook or dead on target.

    Who really sets the line? Is it Vegas? Is it a computer or a person? Is it one person or a team of people? And most importantly, how is it done? HOW IS IT DONE? I'd really like to know, wouldn't we all? Just think of the unlimited factors involved too. What's the weather, how many fans will go to the game, how will they react, who is officiating, how is every single player feeling gametime, etc.? NBA Denver didn't play Nene last night, their star player. Even still, when you take a star player out, put in a scrub and with all the countless factors, scenarios, possibilities, etc. the line was set at minus 5, and they win by 5?
