I've been tweeking a set of theories, system, whatever you want to call it for years. It has been very succesful in NFL from day one and moderately succesful in college football and NHL. I made some changes this year and have done very well in college football and am pretty hot in NHL. I think the changes may make it succesful in college hoops so I figured I'd start a thread to track the plays.
I haven't been on the site lately and part of the reason I left is because of some of the real morons that do nothing but cause problems for the sake of being jackasses and the other guys that try to get a following to "gain an audience" to make money by selling their picks.
I'm not interested in engaging in either of these. Just going to post my picks, track my plays and if I get hot hopefully make some money and help others do the same. I will post more later when I have time.
A lot of my plays are not made till pretty close to game time, just a heads up for anyone interested in playing along.
All plays are for a consistent amount of money = to win 1 unit
I have not applied this to college hoops for many years and have no idea whether it will be succesful. In theory it should work in all sports but in reality it has worked better in NFL than anything else and to a lesser extent the NHL. That being said I made some key changes this year for College Football and the results were outstanding, thus I'm hoping to achieve some level of success in college hoops and hopefully pro hoops.
I want to be clear though that this is a work in progress and it should work in THEORY we'll see how it does in reality. As an example of this I will be using units that are approximately 1/12th the size of my NFL plays and 1/8th the size of my NCAAF plays.
I do not make bets for the sake of betting, I quit doing that years ago, now I make plays to win and make money. So I won't have plays everyday just for the sake of having something going, I'll make plays when the numbers indicate there is a play to be made.
You will never hear words like LOCK, or CAN'T LOSE or 10 UNIT BET or SELL YOUR HOUSE TO MAKE THIS PLAY, or well I think you get my point. Anyone that has been around for more than 2 seconds and has more than half a brain knows that there is no such thing as a LOCK and I certainly won't be saying anything stupid like that here.
My reason for laying all this out up front is to alleviate any issues or confusion with what I'm trying to do.

Reason: To clarify a few things I didn't have time for earlier
Goodfella to be honest I'm not going to go into the details of how I make my picks. I'm doing this for a variety of reasons, the main one being I just don't have the time and partially I don't want the headache. I've seen how some of those conversations have gone in the past on other threads and just don't want to go down that road.
I certainly don't mind you asking though and in my follow up post I planned on explaining that I was going to keep this thread pretty simple because of time constraints. I certainly don't mind discussion, banter, etc. as long as it stays positive and/or constructive.
Understand my friend. I was just curious. I like to hear other's theories and systems, but I understand your reasoning for not going into detail. Good luck this evening.
Well breaking even minus vig isn't too bad, especially since I was up 3-2 with the Santa Barbara game on the line. Lose and it's a break even night, win and I'm up 2 units, I can handle that. Wish SB could have figured out how to win or stay close, thought they had a shot when they got it to OT.
I'd like to apoligize for putting 3 sports (NHL, College Football & College Hoops) all under college hoops. As evidenced by my first 2 posts, this thread was an experiment for college hoops (one that is not going very well so far, ESPECIALLY TODAY) but this is also a small sample size so far. Anyway I digress, my point is that I will be moving my NHL plays to the NHL thread & my upcoming NFL plays to the NFL thread. I will leave my College Football picks in this thread (only 1 play so far) because typically I don't have many more plays from this point forward in the college football as evidenced by 1 total play this entire weekend (Thurs - Sat.).
As mentioned in paragraphs 1 and 2 (specifically outlined in paragraph 2) I use consistent betting units within sports but my unit size differs between sports, thus that will be shown between my college basketball (1 unit plays) and college football plays (8 units). I will speak to the differences in my NHL & NFL units within those threads but can also be seen in thread 2 above.
College Hoops:
Total Record: 5-5 -.5
College Football:
Total Record: 1-0 +8

Reason: Can't spell
Well F*ck somehow in trying to get all this shit straight, I missed posting one of my plays:
West Virginia +2
I'm going to count it in my record, I assume I won't get too much SH*T for this since West Virginia is currently losing 13-6 just past 5 minutes into the 1st half.
Remember I'm mostly doing this to see if this system will work in College Hoops, with a small sample the answer is NO or NO without some serious tweeking, although it's still early. Hopefully the fact I could have left off what looks like a very bad start adds a little to my credibility, since I could have easily just left it off my plays.
