Well okay folks I am going to make a play for Rutgers today as they are 3-0 ats against the Seton Hall Pirates and 2-3 straight up in games played on the road. With the Pirates smelling themselves after beaing the Georgetown Whores this looks like a great spot for a letdown against a team that is perceived to be weaker than even they are. Saint Peters, Columbia and Delaware are the teams that the Pirates have been favored by large spreads this year and they are 1-2 ats against those quads. Rutgers for their part is horrid, but at least they have lost 6 in a row by double digits to qualify for this play, as if it is a good idea to take a team when their stock is low, this is it. The truth of the matter is however, that Seton Hall isn't 8 points better than any team in their conference including the bottom dwellers. The Knights have scored exactly 59 points in their last three games which is very odd, but very consistent. And Seton Hall has a horrid defense that gives up 74 points a game compared to Rutgers 66.5. I think that Seton Hall will be looking past the Scarlet Knights thinking it will be a cakewalk, and they will struggle against the number in this one. Rutgers has played on this losing streak some super heavyweight teams, including Marquette, North Carolina, Pitt, UCONN, Louisville, Syracuse and Cincy. Wow that's killer scheduling and their athletic department should be shot for throwing that one together. I'm digging deep on this one and pullng a rabbit out of my hat.
