    right play

    Tonight's right play:

Loyola University Chicago over Eastern Illinois (pk)

Both teams hungry for their first win, Loyola is 0-2 with losses to Illinois and KSU while Eastern Illinois has one loss to Indiana State.

    Conferences Strength
Horizon is much stronger than Ohio Valley
Loyola has given up 67 to Illinois and 74 to KSU, 2 solid teams likely to get tournament bids while EIU has scored only 72.

Loyola's Defense should dictate this game and it should be an easy 8-9 point victory. 61-52 final score.

    Other leans for the night:
    Pitt -13.5
    Bradley -6

    Best of luck

Nice write-up, this is exactly what I came up with when I placed my bet on Loyola-Chicago. Also with you on Bradley, I got them at -7 (-105).

Be careful with Pitt -13.5, I'm an alumnus and let me tell you, Pitt historically struggles at home in November against these small conference opponents they should manhandle. Pitt generally always wins these games but definitely makes them more interesting than they need to be. Gun to my head, I'm still taking Pitt -13.5 but it's a no play to me. Much stronger play, in my opinion, is UNDER 145 in this game. I don't see Pitt scoring more than 80 and I don't see LBSU scoring more than 65.

    Good luck!

Haha thanks a lot for the support lite1up! At the beginning of the year nothing is for sure but these are based mostly on my gut instinct and from the small sample size of games this year
For my leans - I put pennies on them, more than anything they get me into a "winning" mentality

Wish you the best of luck and a great ncb season!

For what it's worth, Loyola is my biggest play of the night. They're definitely battle-tested already. Plus, I imagine there will be like 700 people at the game, negating any kind of home advantage. I'm one of the few people on Long Beach though. I think it'll stay around the number most of the 2nd half.

You're welcome! I take the same approach capping these early season games, with 350 division 1 college basketball teams I find capping nearly impossible at the outset! Best of luck to you as well. I like seeing the support for Loyola-Chicago as I capped them as 4 point favorites in this game....as such, I upgraded this to my only 2 unit play of the night. My only 2-unit play so far this season other than Kent State +9 at West Virginia. Good luck!

No shit, I don't think I've ever had so many bad beats in a 2 day span in this sport. I feel like Loyola wins that game 7 times out of 10. Oh well, it's a long season.

I parlayed Western Michigan +1.5 and Ohio ML. Tough break with Ohio's QB getting knocked out of the game. Also got OVER 61 in the WMU game.
