there was a prop bet for the mich st vs nc earlier where it said.... pick which half scores most pts.....first half +8 1/2 or second half -8 1/2........i dont get it..... why r there pt spreads? ....please replay...thks

Its just a spread on total points between both teams by half. Meaning if either will have a difference of 8.5 points, so if you think the difference will be less take the +8.5.

Second half last few minutes tend to have a lot of fouls and quick scores.

As a general rule most 2H's are about 10 points higher than the 1H.

For example, if a total is 134 for the game then the line is often 62 1H and 72 2H unless something goofy happens with scoring the the first half.

why did i get no action on this prop....... is cause 1st half and 2nd half was exactly 61 pts.....again i dont get the +8 1/2 or -8 1/2

Did you take the +8.5 or -8.5? I've never seen this prop but the +8.5 should have won because both half totals were the same.
