    Officially hit rock bottom
Said i would take a few days off, i did not. Went 0-5 today.......villanova, st johns, duquesne, west virginia and arkansas. I then put a massive wager on arizona st. Ive been getting beaten up taking teams who played a team that didnt play day before, so i went for it. Then i took arizona st +6 live, then +8.5 live, then +10.5 live, then +12.5 live. Stanford gets a dunk or fouled every single possession. Guys in last 2 days ive lost over 4 months worth of salary. Ive bottomed up. I have no more outs....and honestly im smiling! I feel pretty happy about it. Sick what this game can do to you!

This post is for rookie gamblers. Those who havent yet experienced the tragedy and heartbreak this will cause. Im pretty strong minded, and i always get through it...but many could not live with what ive done in my life. Let this be a lesson, and the lesson is run, and run
As fast as you can. Nobody wins doing this. We all go on runs and win, but overtime i doubt 5 people on this site have won long term....REAL TALK

Sometimes i make a goal to win 2 units on a certain day. Ill either reach my goal or lose 50 units trying hahaha. Amazing how often the latter happens. Probability tells us it shouldnt, but you know

I thought the oldschoolers from this website would all have very good bankroll management... betting 4 months of salary in 2 days... Wow...

I promised myself that if I lose my current bankroll I would stop loll

Dude don't feel bad.. We have all been there. I know exactly how u feel.. U chase and chase and by the time u know it Monday's around the corner and u don't see any light at the end of the tunnel. But some how some way we get out of it.. Sometimes it's ok to take a week off and then start small agian... U don't always have to slam a game.. Cause in the end we never win.

I'm not big on college basketball but it must be the most random sport out there when betting the spread - I lost bets on four games with the final play in the last second these past couple of days. And the players are young and raw and screw up so many times - and the spread are so tight. Maybe you can make some money at it if you have a good eye and are very selective, but I think its soo frustrating when you've worked out a bet and they just screw up or the refs decide the outcome. Like I said, If you can be very selective and don't go on tilt, maybe you can keep your head above water otherwise your money will just gradually (or not so gradually) seep away.
                              Just my thoughts.....

It's addicting, it's like cocaine. Sports gambling is one hell of a drug.

Live betting is the crack cocaine of sports betting..........until you can accept you are going to have losing days, you won't have many winning days. You cannot play this game without bankroll and discipline. Chasing losses through in-game betting is exactly why they created it. They sucked you right in. You have to be stronger than them if you are going to compete against them. Find some discipline.

My discipline it to stop betting all together....ive tried every strategy you can think of, and believe me none of them work. I will start a thread in PT about my road to stay away, to keep me accountable. One day at a time, and hopefully it gets easier. I know this is such a fun time, but every time i see a buzzer beater, it will remind me that there was a 90% chance it would have been against me and made me miserable. And guys, ive been around a while, so us old schoolers are clueless as well and make big mistakes. The funny thing is i knew everytime i got deeper in arizona st, i was gonna lose. Its like i wanted to lose, and this was the best way out. Havent slept a wink in over 48 hours now off to work. What a tool I am

Regul8er I want to apologize for the post above by THam12. Most people on the forum do have a heart and I'm so sorry you lost 4 months of salary. Guys like THam12 are losing big to or in his case he is not betting money because he is just a kid. I went and looked at his post claims he is way up but had picks like Clemson, Oklahoma, Ohio, SMU and so on and so on!!!!!! I asked for his winning ticket but of course no reply. He did post what seems to be a winning ticket but looks like it was edited like some of his past post in old thread. Trick to make him look way up!!!

Guy you need help and I would not bet again ever if I were you. Money management is not in your cards and you should stick to working and taking care of your family. I will say a prayer for you this morning. Remember the best is yet to come!!!!!!!

I used to. Now I have bankroll set aside. And stick to my unit size. If I'm up 200-500 for a week I'm cool. I used to chase not good.

Hang in there kid one of the hardest things to learn when it comes to speculation( on anything) is knowing how to take a loss and not chasing those losses.!! It takes many years.....you now feel better because you got the monkey off your back....things will get better..............BOL

Thanks for the support boys. Honestly, I'm not looking for a pity party here. I just want to get my story out there, so hopefully people can avoid losing control like me. This next few weeks is going to be difficult, but now I can focus on family, my Masters, etc....I've been a walking zombie for weeks, and hopefully this will allow me to live a bit.

Married with kids and a desk job I found sports betting to be my outlet, it was a way to shake my life up a bit and add some everyday thrill from the routine, shake things up a bit. the rush when you're in a tight game and come out with the cover is amazing, I think we seek that but over time that feeling dissipates. the wins don't feel as good as the losses hurt. if you're serious about it, talk it out on here a few more days then forget all about this forum. when you're engulfed in sports betting you're more prone to make another bet then bam right back in the hole.

She likes to go the casino and bet, but she won't lose more then $100. Yesterday alone I made 9 bets (4 on Arizona St including all those in game) and lost all 9 wagers..........let's just say I lost a couple grand.
