OK So.. Upon Early Research I have determined my first 3 game parlay for the morning tomorrow they are:
VCU -12
Marquette -.5
Depaul -4.5
Reasons:
VCU -12, Hofstra to me is no different than Drexel and Hofstra is on the road this time where they have a really bad ATS record. VCU just blew out Drexel by 30 points on the road which is a hard place to play, and I dont even think they were at their best. VCU at home is tough for poorer CAA teams, I expect a blowout by 20 points plus! Plus this is a must win game because George Mason is coming up in a few weeks.
Marquette -.5 will make or break my parlay. They are tough at home, and even when they beat rutgers they were tough. Marquette was shooting aweful and still found a way to matchup on some tough big men that Rutgers threw at them. I just dont see the size West Virginia has to matchup with Marquette. And I guarentee that Marquette will be raining 3's. Also as one of the other posters noted, Marquette has some seniors over freshman guards of west virginia, and this is an easy choice in a pick'em spread.
Depaul -4.5. South Florida is god aweful. And they have played some tougher Big East teams close at home, but Depaul has some talented young players IE Dar Tucker and Mac Kashwal who will control the flow of this game. Its being played at Allstate Arena and students are in session next week so I expect a good turnout and Depaul's first Big East win. Jerry Wainwright knows that he may not win very much in the Big East this year, and this is one of the few wins he may get. Expect aweful shooting and rebounding from South Florida and a 30 point performance from Dar Tucker.
MOST IMPORTANTLY ALL OF THESE PICKS ARE AT HOME. I CANT TELL YOU HOW MANY TIMES IVE TAKEN THE BETTER TEAM ON THE ROAD AND ATE SHIT BECAUSE THEY COULDNT FIND THEIR TOUCH. PROBABILITY WISE ITS MUCH LESS WHEN TEAMS PLAY AT HOME!
Kansas is a decent team and this particular matchup can go anyway. The last evenly matched CBS game I saw go to the last minute and this one will be no different, I feel comfortable behind 8 points for another solid Kansas team in a hostile environment.
Oklahoma is better than Kansas State. They proved last week they couldnt play in a rival crowd, but Kansas State simply lacks the firepower to compete with the better team. That being said even if the shots dont fall for Oklahoma's perimeter shooting you still have Blake Griffin who will school whatever Kansas State has, no more Beasely, no more Walker. Kansas State also played a very mediocre Iowa team close.
Texas is the last even on this parlay. Texas is going to put the whooping on an aweful Iowa State team that nearly lost to Oregon State. LOL! Oh yea Iowa State also lost to another mid major school in UW Milwaukee, and im looking for the Texas bounceback at home. All of the planets would have to allign in a straight line for Iowa State to win, let alone being competitive. We will see what the final point total is for now I have it at 15.
Weird line movement? Maybe some drunken Wildcat alum went crazy with a bet? Okla. much better team, Kst hasn't played people. On a lesser scale, SD was better team last night and proved it! Sooners will do same, as long as they are patient and don't get rattled by press?
