    If butler and vcu make the final 4 then cbs executives...

    will jump off a roof. the general public wants to watch household teams like kansas and duke in the big games. i am fairly knowledgeable about ncaa hoops and i have never even heard of vcu until this tournament

    might be record low tv ratings.

    nah, actually...a unc/uconn or kentucky/uconn matchup on one side, you got your blue bloods. on the other side you got your upstarts in butler/vcu...winners play each other.

    People will watch the final four regardess of who plays. Remember this is just 3 games. It's not like the WS or NBA Finals which could drag to 7 games.

    i was exaggerating about that vcu comment. but me and and my college roommates watched that game in our apartment and we were going crazy for that upset.

    my point being the general public probably can not name 1 player on vcu, where as you take a team like BYU and my little cousin probably knows who jimmer fredette is.

    I like 'em both. Their youth and lack of arrogance like so many of these other coaches is their strength. Again Smart is good coach, but I don't know how much I invest in him w/o the us against the world BS.

    cbs is fine because its not the national championship game when two mid major play each other in the national championship thats when it will get ugly bc there will be no david vs Goliath intrigue
