Just an observation.. But do u remember the last time spurs were 4 point underdogs? It was against the heat, with the heat at home. Heat won by 30 that game... Does this say something?

I'm taking the spurs or passing on the game, Duncan out has me a little worried. Also road game in the mile high city.

I wouldn't necessarily say line's telling because, I'm pretty sure most people are thinking, OMG spurs without duncan and denver playing so hot, how can they not win. it's only 4 at home!

WOW spurs +5 is soo tempting even without Duncan..The only thing that is preventing me on taking them is the fact that they already clinched home court advantage and they don't have much to play for.

-5? Expected the line to move a bit in Spurs favor. Kinda sucks but might still take Denver.

Spurs have alot to play for, playing for the name on the jersey. if you think the spurs are going to come out slow tonight, your fooling yourself.

    This is not true.

The key to Denver is that the whole is greater than the sum of its parts.

Denver's bench players could not start on "many teams". Maybe they could start on Washington and Cleveland.

That's the game that sticks in my head. When I saw this line, the Miami game came to mind.

It is a bit strange that the line is the same at Miami and at Denver, even adjusting for the fact that Duncan is missing this time.

JR Smith, Danilo Gallinari and Ray Felton would start on most of the teams in the league. what the fukk are you talking about with washington and cleveland only guy?

Those guys play starter's minutes. I can't consider that their bench.

What the fukk you talking about a player who plays 30 minutes a game as a bench player, guy?

Starting lineup doesn't matter much. What matters is which guys get the most minutes. If you're playing 30 minutes+ a game, you're hardly a bench player.

I totally agree. Karl has so many ways to play with the 5 on the court when everyone healthy it's not even funny.

When the Ray Felton/Ty Lawson combo is not producing turnovers, they can be very deadly with Gallinari shooting 3's while they penetrate the paint, ie.

It's like when the Spurs use Ginobili as a 6th man. It would be misleading to say that the Spurs have a bench player who could start on any team in the league.

Denver is a different team. There's no other team like them right now.

Denver should only give spurs 1.5 points basing it upon my funky calculation.

    Anything bigger, take them spurs.

But no value here for me so I'm not playing this game AT ALLLLLL

Yes I agreed with ya. The under is the play. I clocked it at 206 but spread is a tad high at 211.

    What exactly does this mean?

If it's 1.5, then how is that not value?

    And you keep posting that.

Since my homerism is kicking in today, I'm taking the Nuggets and losing happy. The Spurs are 3-0 against Denver this year, I don't remember how long it's been since the Spurs swept them in a regular season. Definately not in the Carmelo era, don't see it happening today either.

The line is about even, with heavy action on both sides, more people taking Spurs moneyline though.

Just about ready to hit 5.5

Pinnacle has -5 (-115) for Denver now.

My funky calculation has no value really.

It means that if the spread is at -1.5 denver then that is the break even point for a coin toss.

Now the spread is up to 5 so value should be on spurs but I'm not betting on this game since Duncun is out and other factors that making the bet on this game as questionable.

Not sure why some of you are comparing this game to the Heat game. What exactly do Heat and Nuggets have in common? Nothing? What does the healthy Spurs team that played the Heat have in common with this team missing Duncan?

The game you can compare this to is the game at Memphis without Parker, when everyone was shitting bricks cause the Spurs were dogs. Spurs lost that game.

Anyone else like various overs in this match? Denver shoots pretty well and Spurs will have to be competing with them.

I think this game probably going to go high too, if the Spurs hit their three's. The lane is going to be wide open without Duncan the paint. I'm certain the Nuggets will get over 100, can the Spurs hold their own.

Hm.. 4 hours to go... line already moved up a point to point and a half, public on Denver... Anyone else feeling a sharp driving up this line on Denver to pound Spurs right before tip off? Or is Denver really the play here... hm... toughie...

Public heavy on the Spurs money line thoughThis game is right where Vegas wants it. The profit either way, since it's very even.

    Actually, it's a great comparison.

The teams are very different and the Spurs are without Duncan now, but the line and movement was almost identical.

Thank god I took it when SJ posted, can't touch this line anymore unless you expect Denver to win by DD against the Spurs.
