Grizzlies -9.5 @ home vs. Pacers

Pacers played an emotional OT game in Indiana last night and have now flown down to Music City for a classic letdown spot. The Grizzlies have been resting at home after getting beat up the Knicks. At first thought this line seems way too high, which is why I started to look deeper into the numbers. I capped this game @ -6 and realized that line makers are baiting us with he Pacers. I'll be taking the Grizzle for shizzle, not sure on the unit amount yet.

    • Pacers are 5-14 ATS when playing on back-to-back days
    • Pacers are 4-8 ATS as a road underdog of 6.5 to 9 points
    • Pacers are 2-8 ATS when revenging a home loss vs opponent

    • Grizzlies are 5-2 ATS as a home favorite of 6.5 to 9 points
    • Grizzlies are 7-2 ATS after a loss by 10 points or more
    • Grizzlies are 5-0 ATS versus the Pacers over the last 3 seasons

    BOL to whatever you choose!

i tend to agree. i was starting to get baited looking at the line last night, and then started really thinking about it. but at the same time i have a hard time laying -9.5 on a Grizz team that is missing Rudy Gay. Indiana seems to be all about energy, which they might have little of after their game and travel last night. What time do you think they got into Memphis? This might be good to tease. Like I said, I don't know where the points will come from for the Grizz, but more or less seems like indi will fail tonight based on the line. tough but good luck

Memphis is not 10 points better than Indiana...sure with the spot they are in they could cover, but this is not a strong play.

Do you think this will be similar to the Pacers/Celtics game the other day after Pacers had just beaten the Knicks at home the night before in a tough game?

Before adjusting for the B2B/OT, this game came out as MEM -9.5 for me, however given the circumstances I tend to agree. Not a big one, but seems solid.

Another thing: for about a seven-game stretch, the Pacers were playing the worst basketball in the NBA. Then their cushion over the Bobcats disappeared and they had to win to stay in the 8th spot. They got a favorable opponent that loves to overlook bad teams (Knicks had recently lost two straight to Cleveland) and some favorable officiating last night, and they won three out of four. Now, they have a 1.5-game cushion again, while Memphis's hold on the 8th seed is now tenuous. Plus, Memphis is great off a loss.

Memphis is the play of the day.

Wow Memphis was play of the day...

Indiana looks dead after that OT win last night vs Chicago.

Hey, this game isn't over -- let's not jinx ourselves. But it will be tough for the Pacers to mount a comeback in the 2H of a 4-in-5.
