I think this line is BS and people betting it will have their bets canceled.

It just doesn't make sense that Lakers would be favored in a Heat home game. Line should be a pick if anything. This is crazy line adjustment due to recent games. My first thought was that if they make Heat dogs at home then I'd take the Heat, but I really can't back that team and I think Lakers win this one. By big numbers? Not at all. Wish it were like L.A. -1 and that would be perfect. Everyone will be on L.A. it looks like.

I think the Lakers is the right side tonight, but that transitive property is not a good long term option.

I agree. But when elite teams play against each other you can have conclusions by analyzing matchups.

considering they are still the 2nd favorites to win it all, how do you figure they gave up on them? The Heat should have never been favorites to win it all, they were scared to higher the price on them too soon.

Why would they change Lakers from +450 to +200ish and Heat from +220 to +360 now? Obviously they saw something there.

Well they just needed to wait to make sure the real LA team would show up once the season starts to come down to the end. They are the world champs after all and have the best player in the world. Why are the Spurs at that price if they have the best record in the league by far? What does that say about the Spurs? What about the Bulls? Why are the Bulls at an amazing price--books are not scared for 1 minute about chicago. They will not be winning anything this year, whether the east or the ring. We'll wait and see.

Bryant will try to do too much in this game as usual, and the Lakers will not run their offense the same way they have been I predict.

alright paul, tell me why to take la here. Lebron beat LA twice last year (once with no mo williams) and wade beat them once (and lost once on a last second 3 by bryant for the win). Both those guys seem to like playing against Big Brother Bryant. Lakers are rolling right now.

The difference during the LA win streak has been there defense. Odom got abused by bosh in LA last time around. So what adjustments will Phil make to ensure LA can actually stay within single digits this game come the 4th quarter. LA is one of the few elite teams that have 0 advantage at the pg position, easily the most difficult position Heat have trouble defending. Lebron is at his best when he is a roaming defender, which will be the case tomorrow (artest). whats some reasons for la.

Because Bynum is actually healthy and getting minutes right now. Do you think Phil is gonna let Odom matchup with Bosh again or have Gasol who's a taller and better defender?

Both will. Odom is way quicker than Gasol thats why Phil likes his matchup on Bosh. Gasol doesn't like to defend guys on the elbow. He is mainly a post defender. We all know how he got abused by stoudemire last year, a PF that loves playing faced to the basket.

What else do you got besides bynum. do you think la's bench plays well ?

Ron Artest is going to need to make open looks because he's going to be playing big minutes in this game. It's always the same thing with Ron, when he's ready and waiting in a good shooting position to catch and shoot, he can go off. When he's standing straight up he doesn't make anything.

For sure better than Miami's. Bench will score at least 20.

Wade/James/Bosh combined are gonna score 80-85+? That's what they are gonna need to win.

at least kobe already surpassed moses malone during last night's game, next up is shaq and that's still pretty far with a thousand points to go, so i think he will not be shooting too much, like around 20 to 25 shots, we all know how kobe plays when he is about the beat someone on the scoring list

Somewhat of a similar situation the Lakers were in recently isn't it?

"Lakers on a roll" beating Hawks, Blazers (a), Thunder (a), Spurs (a), Hawks (a) facing the struggling Heat.

    and

"Lakers on a roll" beating Hornets (a), Grizzlies (a), Celtics (a), Knicks (a)....facing the struggling Magic.....

When I started this thread I was sure that LA would beat Miami on Thursday. 5 Dimes posted a line of LA-2 before any book. Once the line was actually released by bookmaker and Greek as LA @ PK I jumped on it not thinking twice about it because I was convinced the line would move and it has, but all of sudden I have the strangest feeling about this game.

For basketball reason's I like LA still, but when I have a strange feeling about something my gut is usually right. For some odd reason I see Bosh having a good game and I see the Heat getting key contributions from Mike Miller,Chalmers,Bench,etc...

It is the damndest thing but I see the Heat playing a really good game and LA not playing as well as they have and this game will be a coin flip late.

I am going to sleep on it and see if I still feel the same tommorow and if I do I will buy out of my Lakers bet and take Miami, hopefully +2 or better. Who knows maybe I get lucky and the Lakers win by 1 and I middle or 2 and I push my Heat side.

I know it was just a bunch of ramblings from me but I feel responsible to at least voice that I am having reservations for those that got excited and went big on the Lakers as well...

The Heat will be game for LA, no doubt. The home crowd will help Miami and this could be the game that gets them over that hurdle that they can't seem to get past. But LA is motivated right now and more importantly they are very sharp.
