Mark Cuban and the Mav is in town at Portland. There's a similarity between this and last year, where they finished strong results against most inferior teams and earned top spot in the conference. Their 2nd units is one of the league deepest bench, a core of solid veterans leadership who had earned a trip to the final, this had been their key strength and excellent match up against many teams in the league.
Portland, however, a traditional strong contender in the Pacific, but injuries had been a factor in their poor record this year.

Bad news for the Hawks as a fully loaded Denver is in town it will be a tsunami of match up nightmare for the Hawks. And we had seen one in the last game for the Hornets at home.
Birdman and Kmart will go to work on Josh Smith, while Nene will let lose in the post & rack the fouls against 4 Hawks' no name centers. Between 1 to 2 guards: J.R. Smith, Raymond Felton/Ty Lawson will run and defense well against Joe Johnson/Jamal Crawford Kirk Hinrich/Jeff Teague. Denver's fast pace offense will drag ATL's slow pace along and will expect a moderate type of scoring game through a high screen pick & roll shots yield average between 45 to 50% FG and a few exchange of 3's by both teams.
Denver's physical match up will control the glass and their quick guards will force a few turn overs. The Hawks' hot shooting could continue, will put up a good high % shots to keep themselves in the game.

Coming to this game the Bulls would not have the service of Noah and it will be tough to contain Lopez and Humpries. They may have to gamble a big minutes with Asik like they did against D12 at Orlando and hope for the best.
Both teams will play a bit of half court basketball with a solid defense at both ends. The Nets will use a high energy, feed of the crowd and execute toward the end to close the game with a shooting spree, hustling play and pressure the ball to force some turn over. It will be a close game, but Bulls will barely escape with the victory.

For a 1001 times, I have mentioned that playing at the Rose Garden is tough, as David Stern found out he had shoes thrown at him for negotiated with Saddam. The Blazers will employed their tight defense and strip search Daniel Gibson and his posse for every possession in their pocket. This game is a one they need to move up the 6th spot in the West for a possible match-up with Dallas. That's right, they hate playing against the Lakers in the first round.
A smaller Cavalier will have a poor match up against a more physical Portland, and will look to have a lot of foul trouble through out the game.

An excellent match up between Kmart, Birdman, Nene, kitchen sinks vs D12 and Brandon Bass in the front line.
Orlando will have their hand full with this one, against winning records teams, they had dropped three of the last four losses, included two at home. Also in their last 10, they have average 17 turns over per game which is not a good thing when the nug guards are the best in forcing turn over and can run transition point from it. Orlando also, like to live and die with their 3's will find it tough to get a good look as Denver do defense well and narrow the spacing.
In the last two games vs a sound defensive teams in ATL & NO, Denver held their foe to 47% FG while they shots average 53%. I expect a similar production & stat pattern in this game much the same as their last two games.
Orlando is notoriously slow start to their game, while expect to see them Nuggets off to a fast start to build a good cushion lead & take out home crowd and grind it out, they'll expect Hedo & J Rich to knock down some desperate 3's in the 4th to keep themselves in the game down the stretch.
