TWO good looking plays for WED...

    Denver (-7) vs. Charlotte:

Charlotte didn't look put together yet with their new team on the road Sunday in Orlando. They lost by 14 and the 3 new guys from the trade (Cunningham, White and Mohammed) combined for just six points off the bench. Being without their second leading scorer, Wallace, is gonna take them some time I believe.

Charlotte has lost three in a row in Denver by an average of 12.6 points and five of six all-time. Denver had a close loss the last meeting in Charlotte, losing 98-100. It's hard enough to play in Denver as it is, but this new Nuggets team is surging and is tied now with New Orleans for 5th spot in the the West.

Gallinari will be out still for Denver, but the Denver bench is all getting play and rotation and they are having good games. I expect a good game and a revenge for the loss they had in Charlotte in December, breaking a season high streak.

Nuggets are 5-0 ATS in their last 5 games overall and are 9-2 ATS in their last 11 vs. Eastern Conference.

Bobcats are 1-5 ATS in the last six meetings in Denver
(even though doesn't really factor here since line-up is so markedly changed.)

    **************************************** **************

New York Knicks (-3.5) vs. New Orleans

At first sight of this line I liked it a lot. Coming back home after an upset in Orlando will hopefully get this team pumped up for the home crowd in MSG, where they last beat the Heat, and the memory should still be there.

Both teams coming off a road loss with the Hornets figting the good fight to try and come back in Toronto but couldn't catch it. New York covered at least for those that had them +7. New Orleans losing the first of a road trip doesn't help either, getting the team starting off on the wrong foot.

New York is not the best home ATS team, only going at 14-13-1 (total ATS: 35-21-2) They are a better road cover. Yet N.O. is only 15-16-1 ATS on the road (total ATS: 29-32-1).

Last meeting was in December with the Hornets getting beat in MSG 92-100.
I can't help but give up these points for a team that can only get better as they get their rhythm going, as they have the talent now to do it.

    Two blowouts. The best kind.

    Final scores:

    New York 107 - New Orleans 88
    Denver 120 - Charlotte 80

All over Denver for tomorrow in Utah. Small side on Orlando and Denver over with Denver in parlay.
