I'm gonna pound Denver unders for a while. Both the game and halftime hit. This isn't the run n gun tray bombing nuggets we're used to seeing.

Uh, didn't the Cavs defeat the Celts too on opening day? Denver played on adrenaline just like the Cavs did. Their true form is going to show after 10 or so games.

Nobody said winning was cheap, you could pay your players 100k you just wouldnt have any players capable of winning, in all fairness the players on the Cavs and Kings should make no more than a 100k a year

This may have been the best trade in 10 years, Denver's actually lost their two overpaid "superstars" and is no worse at all hell they may be better, the young players they got are talented as hell ESPECIALLY DEFENSIVELY where Billups and Anthony had little impact

Torched underrated Memphis by 13, then torched the Celtics by 14, lost by a point in OT to Portland who had won like 6 in a row, now beating up on the Hawks, 4 playoff teams and they're gonna be 3-1 and missed 4-0 by a basket, hard to believe, what a trade by Denver

Two Ewing theory's at work tonight.

Players like Melo don't make teams any better.

New York will lose in the first round.

Unreal, they're playing top teams (basically underdog every game) and except for a 1 point loss in OT to Portland theyd be undefeated without overrated Melo and old man Billups, this new Denver team is easily the most underrated team in the league

Denver may have made the trade of the decade

Greatest trade of my lifetime, they got rid of incredibly overpaid overrated old players that had never heard of defense and never gotten Denver anywhere anyway and got underrated young talents that they pay minimum wage

    Result

The Knicks cant beat the fuckin Bucks and have a 100 mil payroll with nothing but Melo's bullshit team destroying attitude to show for their money, that moron thinks hes better than Kobe for some unknown reason, maybe the lack of oxygen in Denver affected his brain

Denver cant lose and has a McDs level payroll, their owner must have a nonstop hardon

the knicks got the better players in the deal..but when u trade all your good role players and are left with guys who are horrible..when u take melo and amare out or when they get in foul trouble..not only can they not play defense still..but they cant score...next year at this time when new york gets better role players through free agency this will prob be forgotten

Of course they got the better players, when you trade 1m/year players plus cash for 30m/year players they are clearly better, but lets be honest here Carmelo has never had any real impact at Denver, I mean lets get real here for a second, Denver was always JUST a playoff team destined to head home the 1st or 2nd rd, they still are, they were NEVER going to beat a top team with Carmelo and they are NEVER going to beat a top team now, imo same difference

The Knicks before Melo were of course a playoff team, they still are, before Melo they had no hope of beating a top team, with Melo they have almost no hope of beating a top team in a series

Denver is just as likely as NYK to make it out of the 1st rd AND then of course get pwned in the 2nd rd despite a payroll that looks like SBRs paid posters

Melo does not like to share ball so the trade actually has a good upside for the team chemistry. Lawson's speed is a much better fit for Denver's playing style too, so losing Billup may not be that bad either.

9-4, they were 7-2 going into this 4 game road series against nothing but playoff teams, NO, Atlanta, Orlando, Heat and still won half of those games

5-0 at home winning by an average of like 15 and 4-4 on the road against playoff teams and their biggest loss since the trade was by 6 points

Meanwhile look at Melo's impact for NYK, what have they lost like 5 of their last 6 to Indiana, Detroit, Milwaukee, teams that couldnt win the NCAA

dont get the comparison to cavs... denever got a ton of talent back for Melo...Cavs got absolutely nothing back. 2 very different situations

Wellllll I think that the talent they got back was a little underrated at the time, of course now that they've instantly meshed and absolutely kicked ass its easy to call those no names great talents, this is why the trade was incredibly to Denvers favor

Also the thread is title FUK MELO WE AINT NO CAVS BITCH!

Where did you get from that that I was saying they are the Cavs? I started this thread bc there was speculation that ohhh they're losing all the teams talent in Melo and Billups they are going to go from a playoff team to a shit team like the Cavs obviously they havent bc of that underrated talent level that exists beyond just their stars and the underrated talent they acquired in the trade

In other words LEARN TO FUCKIN READ!!!!

You cant argue with someone when you agree with them, it makes you look stupid, better to remain silent and be thought of as an idiot than post and remove any doubt at all

For the most part Denver came out the better team and this doesn't account for the 3 draft picks they got.

Milwaukee, Detroit or Indiana would destroy any NCAA team.

The Nuggets had a lots of talent anyway. Even if they got nothing back they would have been a good team.
