    Hornets +5.5 @ Portland

    $100 on Hornets +5.5

Hornets +5.5 is a solid play tonight in my opinion. The Hornets have struggled as of late and the Blazers are improving every game, playing without Roy and Camby. Most of their wins however over the past 7 or 8 games have been to mainly below average teams. L.A. and Mathews have been carrying this team and they will continue to need to do so if Portland wants to keep winning without two of their most important players. Today I see Mathews having an average game and if I get lucky L.A. will start taking some fadeaways that won't drop for him. West will force this guy to play outside the paint, so whatever LA gets tonight I know he's going to have to work for it. Once you take away the option of having that first step against a slower opponent, he'll just play you for the jump shot he likes right there near the left elbow.

Chris Paul was upset after yesterdays loss to G.S. and I expect him to bounce back tonight against a horid defender in Andre Miller. Paul will pick Miller apart tonight and should be able to get everyone going on his team. I am not concerend about Portland's bench as I think N.O's bench can hang with them on the road. I see Paul getting his guys up for this game and I see him easily putting up over 20 points and probably close to 13 assists. Portland doesn't have any bench guards that can hang with guys like stronger guards like Thorton and Jared Jack- they sould provide a small spark as well.

All 3 refs in this game heavily favor the road team ATS.

I see Portland winning this one easy myself. Hornets have no inside game what so ever. Aldridge should get 40 in this game. Batum, Fernandez and Miller probably have big games. Hornets are a joke right now with injuries putting money on a team thats not playing well never a good idea. Hornets need to get to the all star break regroup. Portland one of the hottest teams in the NBA double digit win here.

Nah...this is good as over. Blazers will find some way to blow this game. I still think Hornets will win by at least 5.

Blazers look like they gonna run away with this now. Hornets and Hawks are the worse teams in the league closing out a game.

Regardless of the outcome, I think LaMarcus Aldridge is probably the best PF in the league.

Chris Paul has been a ghost all game. This is the best team in the NBA at losing games in the 4th. Teams playing the Hornets don't play with 100% effort until the 4th qtr, all the while knowing they just have to play the 4th to blow out the Hornets.

32 points for Aldridge. West was no match for him.

You capped it well, Hornets could have led by 30 pts going into the 4th and would have lost by 7. Chris Paul will
cast criticism on his teammates, but he needs to look in the mirror because he is the reason they are so terrible on the road. Fade the Hornets on the road until they prove they can win.

Roy going down was the best thing to ever happen to LA.

Just read that Roy might be close to coming back. But might only have 2 or 3 year left career wise. Thats if he plays limited min and takes games off. Sad

I dont feel to bad for Roy. Sure his career is not going to be what it might have been but I am sure he is better off than us. If he never hits another jumper he is set for life financially.

It'd be nice if you could just cash out at any point in the game if your team has the spread covered, obviously taking less money but still.
