I have no idea what the hell any of that means. Just looks like a bunch of random numbers to me. The only number that matters is championships. 5 rings bitch. Count 'em.

Let me summarize for the peasants in the room: Kobe has the worst adjusted +/- of anyone on his team.

When Kobe finishes his career what do you think will be more important to him:

    His adjusted +/-

Or the number of rings on his fingers

Adjusted +/- (not the normal +/- you see in box scores) takes this into account. Kobe's rating of -15.71 indicates his team's scoring margin decreases by over 15 points per 100 possessions in comparison to if he were replaced with an average player. This is horrible.

Do a little reading and educated yourself. The method is actually very sound. Nearly every all star is at the top of their team except for Kobe.

Doesn't mean that he's the best individual player, just that he adds the most to the team when he's on the floor.

Okay....I guess that makes sense, considering the Lakers have a better record without Bynum than with him. (I'm not meaning to hate on Bynum, I love him).

And his smaller sample size no doubt makes the rating less applicable for him.

Point is these numbers prove what my eyes have been seeing for years, Kobe being on the court often comes as a detriment to the rest of the team. Where's Houli at I'm sure he'd agree.

Kobe is not on the downside. He is just playing less minutes. He is still leading the league in points per 48 minutes. And he is probably having his best year since the 35 ppg year.

    disclaimer on author's main page:

It is important to note that the adjusted +/- rating is not a “holy grail” statistic that perfectly captures each player’s overall value. The ratings reported here are limited by a number of factors....

Kobe is the singularity that cannot be modeled, the powerful force whom no NBA team can contain.

Kobe is not human. He does not feel pain. He cannot be reasoned with.

Those stats are such communist propaganda. No one knows how they come up with that numbers. So I don't believe it. How bout you look at another made up stat: PER. Kobe is the best on the Lakers there.

Anyway, out of 32 stars, none of them can say this...

    "except for Kobe"

Honestly who cares. Kobe has nothing left to prove. He has won everything you can win basketball. The guy is a legend. It's time for someone else to step up now. Maybe that someone else can this time. At least Kobe never had to switch teams even when the supposed superstar beside him left Kobe still went thru the shit and came out a winner again and again. The time has come to stop worrying about Kobe. The guy has 5 rings. Stats can be used anyway you want to manipulate them to your own needs.

Kobe was on he way out until enough whining, both publicly and privately, forced the Lakers to deal for Gasol.

Chris, we get it. You love Lebron so much you want to "educate" the rest of the world on his "superiority" to Kobe. I know you are a young man and are infactuated with Lebron, but I think you would be better off with a GF

Haha what an imbecile. Lebron nowhere near Kobe? He's crushed him in every matchup recently plus is on his way to his third MVP.

FFS, Chris I am glad you got a tool showing Lebron's superiority. You have a major case of OCD about this Lebron fella, huh? It's amazing a young, college educated guy such as yourself making 6 figures living in Las Vegas is spending your time with OCD over Lebron. Have you even looked at some of the names on the list? Some of those guys are very average.

I much rather see you take some of that BIG MONEY you are making out in Vegas and spend it on a nice piece of ass Might help you.

    Kobe is good

    LeBron is better

Kobe is the most accomplished player in the league currently.

Lebron has yet to accomplish the ultimate form of winning.

Both players have haters, so they are both doing something right.
