    Hornets the best team in the NBA now?

    i know most of you wont agree because they dont have high scoring games and they dont have a "Big 3" but they play hard defense. they just embarrasses the Hawks at home and tonight are destroying the Spurs. both are very good teams. ( Hawks are slacking a little this year ) and have won 8 straight ( including tonights win ) for the second time this season. last time they lost was at the Lakers. they have proven they can beat any team in the league. def a team to wager on right now with their defensive skills

    i dont know man. i mean law of averages says yes but the way they hold the ball for the entire clock is impressive. and one thing will always stand true game to game. and thats defense. thats what won Boston and LA these last few championships.

    You don't become the best team in the league by being on a winning streak. It just means you are playing good basketball at the moment.. They don't have a good enough team to be considered the best...

    They're good. They play hard and play good defense. I don't see any way they get out of the west though. They are missing a key piece to be on that level.

    I've liked the Hornets since the start of this year when they won 13 or 14 in a row before losing and I still like them now. I don't think they are the best team in the NBA it's either the Spurs or Heat but the Hornets and Lakers are on par for right below them and a nice push up could give them a great run in the playoffs this year.
