Why did Joe Johnson get a max contract?

Gotta be the luckiest player in the league. Guy isn't even close to being a franchise player

I'd take Azbuike and Landry Fields over him. Not even kidding.

Don't get me wrong he's a good player, but that's wasted $ on a player who won't bring your team to the next level.

He's still young, due to improve.

You think Amare is gonna bring the Knicks to the next level?

Hawks have been playing together for a few years. Amare is going to take a loser club for the past few years to the playoffs. If he loses on the 1st round or not is a whole new deal.

Give the guy 2-3 years and we'll see.

In 2-3 he'll still be losing in the 1st round, thats if he's even playing considering his injury history.

Amares contract is no better then JJs. Only thing Amare got going right now is the hype ESPN and co was pushing.

But we'll see. Guess the years in Phoenix with D'Antoni and Amare is not enough of a data sample to make a prediction now. But you do know what they call people that think doing the same thing will produce a different outcome, right?

I don't bother with your irony. Amare took the Suns to a conference finals IN THE WEST. That's very telling.

He was getting double and triple teamed in the last few games because they had no answer for me. This is coming from a Lakers' fan who actually watches most of the Knicks' games now because I like Amare's game and D'antoni's style.

Sorry if you are a bitter NEts' fan who can't acknowledge others' talent.

Good luck with your team getting 25 wins this year while the Knicks go to the playoffs.

I think you forgot about the 2 time MVP that was on that team. And that still wasn't enough to get them to the "next level".

The rest is totally irrelevant bullshit. Not worth my time.

Run and gun team giving the ball to Amare on halfcourt sets and getting open 3s almost got them to the finals. Thank god for that Artest buzzer-beater.
