First post here on SBR.

My first two games are:

1. Denver Nuggets vs LA Clippers -> Denver -5
2. Detroit Pistons vs Orlando Magic -> Orlando -2

Total odds: 2

I know that Clippers won against Spurs a couple of days ago. I know Clippers won 3 out of their last 5. But I also know that they are Clippers. No consistency. I don't know if Carmelo will return 100% or how much he will play, but I know this: Clippers are 0-8 on the road. They might keep it close until late 3rd quarter maybe, but at the moment the Nuggets are playing quality basketball even without Melo. That -10 line offered by the bookies seems a little high. Nuggets are 3-5-1 ATS at home and Clippers are 5-3 ATS on the road, even with their 0-8 record. Maybe they will manage to keep it close, but I doubt that it will be closer than 5 points.

Pistons...In my book one of the the worst NBA teams right now, altough there are a few quality players. One reason that I don't like that -6,5 line for tha Magic is that DW & Co are 1-6 ATS on the road and that one single time they covered happened 2 days ago in Chicago. While I think Magic will win, I don't expect them to cover. But when you are Pistons, you can always help the bettors with a 9-10 points in a whole quarter.

For today:

1. Miami Heat - Atlanta Hawks -> Heat -4
2. Philadelphia 76ers - Charlotte Bobcats -> under 195

Total odds: 2,1

Of course everyone will jump with their eyes closed on that -9,5. I won't risk that much. But, Hawks are on a back to back and last night won at home against the 76ers just because PHI had ONLY ONE FG IN THE LAST 8 MINUTES. They played good D, but the atack was clueless. And now on the road at Miami they will surely try to cause un upset, but honestly I can't see how they will pull this off. But hey, I/we thought the same thing when Heat played with Memphis and Pacers so...

76ers played poor offense last night. Both teams on back to back AND the Bobcats failed to reach the under/over line even with one overtime...The line was 184,5 and the total on Nets - Bobcats last night was 175 with 53 minutes. Enough said i think.
