CAVS (7-10) vs. MIAMI HEAT (11-8)
at Quicken Loans Arena
RADIO/TV: WTAM/ESPN Radio; TNT
Tonight at 8
WHAT WILL HAPPEN: This is the most anticipated game of the season. The fans will come out in droves to boo superstar LeBron James, who left the Cavs at the altar in free agency.
The Heat haven't won in Cleveland since April 5, 2007 - a span of five games. They've played well against under .500 teams this year, as their 10-1 record attests. The Heat's only loss to a sub-.500 team was at Memphis on Nov. 20.
Joey Graham will be asked to guard James, at least early on. Jamario Moon and possibly Anthony Parker could also defend him as the game wears on. Frankly, none of them will put up much of an obstacle to James.
James will likely try to embarrass the Cavs with a 50-point game, but he's walking into a buzzsaw. He'll have to be mentally strong to neutralize the fans. We'll see if he's up to the task.
Fans want to boo, hiss and call him names. They don't want the Cavs players hugging and showing any love toward James. Also, they want to see if James does his rosin toss before the game.
The Cavs will play with passion tonight. They know how important it is to the fans.
