I think it's safe to say that the Eastern Conference has finally closed the gap between themselves and the Western Conference. It's not so much a function of the West coming back as it is the East moving forward, although a key component is the seeming vincibility of the Spurs. This should be a real boom season for the NBA especially with the Celtics reclaiming some of their former glory and the youthful surge of the Lakers.

Yea, I'd say so. It's nice to see and a big step in getting the NBA the ratings it needs to be competitive again.
