    Portland Minnesota Game

You know, sometimes I actually think the NBA is planned. Its sick how these sportsbook websites are SO on target with all these pointspreads and over/unders. Sometimes it lands exactly on the over/under score or the difference is between + or - 3 points. If the Portland Trailblazer's don't beat the Minnesota Timberwolves tomorrow, theres gonna be no doubt in my mind that the NBA is a complete fluke. The Blazers were just riding a 13 game winning streak, beating some VERY tough teams. Tomorrow they are playing the worst team in the entire NBA, The Minnesota Timberwolves and the line is ONLY Portland -5. This has me think whats up. The way Portlands been playing, and how poorly Minesota's been playing, I would assume the line to be Portland - 10. I just cannot see Minnesota winning this game nor defeating a +5 point pointspread.

Any1 else feel me on this 1?

ya i felt the line on this was rather generous as well, but portland seems to have a slightly bad road record. but knowing they are facing the worst team makes me think this would be an easy cover, but look for the line to go up on this one closer to game time, im thinking of hoping on this one -5, can neone else put an insite on this one

10 of Portland's wins during their 13-game streak came at home. Blazers are just 3-10 SU on the road. Portland was -8.5 at home over Minnesota last week, a game they covered (won by 11), but the cover was in doubt until the final buzzer (was an 8-pt. game with 20 sec. remaining). So, considering home court is typically worth approximately 3.5 pts. in the NBA (depending on the situation), this line is hardly short.

True. But I think the T-Wolves are too garbage for the Blazers not to handle them by at least 5.

Minnesota has a very unusual pattern so far this season:
    5 losses, 1 win, 5 losses, 1 win, 5 losses, 1 win, 6 losses, 1 win, 5 losses...

I think I'm taking the Minnesota ML.

This will most likely be my top play tomorrow. I have bet on the NBA for years now and it’s the only sport I can consistently make money on. In my time I have talked to many people in the sports book industry and they said with the NBA when a line seems weird or something it should not be, it goes the way it shouldn’t more then 80% of the time (in this case Minnesota). The Odds makers can set "shady" lines in the NBA every night because every game on the night gets a good amount of public money on it and with the amount of games odds makers are bound to be beat, consider this a break even for games they are well off on. Of all the games each night usually one game is set like this where one team should be favored by a lot more then they are. In this case Portland has become such a big public favorite because they went on a huge winning streak and they were never a good team, the public loves the underdog story. From a judging the lines point of view, Minnesota is a great play at about 4:00pm est. time tomorrow when the line is at 6.5 or 7 and the Moneyline is inflated. From a basketball game being played point of view it makes sense that the Timberwolves plus the points is the correct play. If you look at the game Utah played to beat Portland on Monday, Minnesota can play the exact same style of ball quite easily. Utah dominated the paint with their big guys down low. Utah played great defense and spread out the floor on offense. Minnesota has forward Al Jefferson who is good for 20-25 points a game against smaller teams, especially at home. The Timberwolves also have decent guards in Corey Brewer and Sebastian Telfair that have speed and can score points on and off. All the trends and stats support the Blazers but the Wolves are definitely the play here...That’s just my opinion; the Blazers could just as easily win by 10+ points.
Don’t forget, the Blazers are only 3-10 on the road this season and their points per game is nearly 12 points less then they score at home.

Twolves played them tight for about 3 quarters in Portland, Blazers are not the same team on the road, the smart play is the Twolves.

Yea, now I'm understanding why the lines were so much in favor of Minnesota. I'm believing Portland will win the game but probably by a buzzer beater

if you actually catch some of the t-wolves games on TV, they oftentimes completely forfeit quarters to other teams, getting outscored by 14-18 points. i bet them ATS early in the year, but eventually learned to just avoid them at all costs. they are the laughing stock of the league right alongside the knicks and heat.

Lol the Knicks are a joke. Watching the bench players go crazy everytime one of their players makes a basket almost reminds me of the celebration the Miami Dolphins had when they actually won their first game against the Baltimore Ravens. It was pathetic. They were like in tears cuz they were so happy, but they didn't win a superbowl, they beat quite possible the 3rd worst team in the league lol

But yea, I'm not trusting the T-Wolves to beat any team. I'll never take the T-Wolves on a ML nor a pointspread in their favor.
