    Sixers sign Calvin Booth

    I actually like this signing. This should really improve the Sixers front court immensely, but they still won't even come close to making the playoffs.

    Sixers sign C Booth

    PHILADELPHIA (Ticker) -- The Philadelphia 76ers added veteran depth to their front line Wednesday, signing center Calvin Booth.

    Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

    Booth, 31, averaged 1.6 points and 1.8 rebounds in 44 games with the Washington Wizards last season.

    The 6-11 Booth has averaged 3.5 points, 2.9 rebounds and 1.0 blocks in parts of eight seasons with the Wizards, Milwaukee Bucks, Dallas Mavericks and Seattle SuperSonics.

    Oden will have more of an impact than Booth this season.
