    Draymond being Draymond

    There was a physical altercation at the Warriors’ practice Wednesday morning that has the team seriously considering disciplinary action toward Draymond Green, sources with knowledge of the incident told The Athletic.


    When a heated interaction with guard Jordan Poole escalated, Green forcefully struck Poole and needed to be separated swiftly, sources said. Green and Poole came chest-to-chest, with both players pushing and shoving each other prior to Green’s escalation of the physical altercation, those sources said.



    The Warriors stopped practice and tried to settle nerves in the team’s locker room area, but it appears that internal discipline is imminent.


    Poole and Green are known to regularly get into verbal arguments, but the team’s management and leadership believes a line was crossed.

    The Athletic will have more on this story as it develops.

    I believe the story running that Green is jealous of the extension Poole is getting. He views himself as some sort of super-star (top 50 all time I think he said) but the Warriors aren't buying.

    I'm not an NBA insider, but the one's that are, and the one's words I trust tell me Poole has an enormous ego, he comes across like he believes his shit don't stink.
    This is what I am told and I have no reason to doubt that.

    Thing is (from what I am told also) even though Draymond's two amigos, Steph and Klay sometimes get pissed at the Green 'thug act' they really appreciate him.

    Feeling here is either one or both of them said to Green "listen, do the right thing and make this right, we don't need this"

    That's what I think happened behind the scenes anyway.

    Green should be looking at the contracts the Warriors signed Iguodala for as he got older and older. That is the caliber of player Green now is. Not elite, not great, but very good for team chemistry. Max, do not make me laugh
    Poole has far more upside at their current level of play.

    From the initial description, didn't sound that serious.

    That's worse than any punch I've ever seen in any game between teams. That was full-throttle and force. Amazing if Poole didn't get seriously injured.

    The fact that there is a video of this is going to make it very difficult for Poole to just forget about it ever happening and for them to bury the hatchet. Poole will constantly be reminded of it from family and friends. I wonder who leaked out the video?

    Indeed. This Bob Myers guy is as liberal as they come. One of those types that thinks any punishment is too severe.
