Hawks have won 7 straight since firing their BLM coach

This is why it's fun to see identity politics play out in pro sports. You can bet on it. Hawks put a real coach - experienced coach - at the helm and voila!

    Next stop: Lakerland.

See a similar thing play out in the WNBA a lot also. An incompetent female coach gets replaced by a competent male coach, bingo.

I'm confused. What does the Hawks winning with a new coach have to do with BLM? Also hasn't the new coach McMillan spoken up frequently in support of BLM?

Most coaches have spoken up for BLM at some point, but he was front & centre of all that nonsense. I know because I follow the league very closely, rumours, quotes etc. From urging players to become activists, to dictating to coaches how they should be handling it in their own lockerrooms. Big mouth. Good riddance.

Seems a bit more likely Collins gets moved at the deadline now. He & Capela don't fit well. Hawks got a glimpse into their future tonight (with him).

Hawks lost Gallinari in that 3rd Q to a knee injury. I did wonder about that... probably their most clutch player.

Beat goes on... when was the last time a team took off like this after firing their coach? I remember Pitino getting fired in Boston in the Pierce/ Walker era -they didn't like him!

They don't even have Trae Young and they're knocking off top East playoff teams. Bogdan playing like a star!
