Why is Boston not the favorite to win the Atlantic Division??

Brooklyn has to have some growing pains don't they. They can't just roll the ball out there and win more games Boston when Boston has proven to be a great regular season team with depth. What am I missing here? Boston is going at +275 currently at BOL.

Do you think he and Kyrie play in every game?? I don't. Kyrie misses at least 20 games with an injury.

Because Kenna’s knee looks like it’s don’t and their depth sucks, Wannamaker was their best player off the bench for much of last year and he’s gone, depth is key in the regular season.

Agree, Brooklyn is far deeper than Boston.

I don't think you see the same efficient 90-50-40 Durant this year. The nucleus that I remember from the bubble wasn't very good and got its coach fired. Adding Durant makes them better, not world beaters.

Tatum and Brown have settled in as jump shooters and are currently playing a game of who can take more bad shots. Unless they start playing team ball again, I think they regress...They tired too..

Yeah I think the Nets are just too deep. Levert, Harris,Prince, Dinwiddie are fantastic players alongside Durant and Kyrie. Even Shamet and Johnson are decent bench options. Jordan is on his last legs but still not a bad #2 to have at C.

Boston’s depth is trash and Walkers knee looks like it has structural damage, I make Brooklyn -200 to win the division.

The Nets are deep and also young, which is key for back to backs and the regular season.

I’m taking a shot with a unit on Boston. I have to see how great these Nets are while betting against them.

I hammered Brooklyn to win the division at +125.

Boston has no depth and walkers knee issues haven’t been going away. I make Brooklyn -250 to win the division. Brooklyn bench with Albert and Allen is one of the best in the league and depth is key in the regular season.

I guess its still early, but the Nets don’t look like world beaters early in the season.

Boston leads the division, but the real race begins when the new big 3 start playing together.

Boston is missing something. Can't quite figure it out. Other strong teams do well when a player is out , so Celtics are not getting a pass and using that excuse. One thing is Jayson Tatum puts up far too many bad shots. In my eyes Jaylen Brown is by far the best player on the court. He always brings grit and pretty much plays a solid tough game all the time. Stevens really needs to be more tough maybe, not sure. They lose composure almost everytime the other team hits them with 10-0 run. That's usually when Tatum throws up poor shots too. I'll be surprised if they finish anywhere above 4th in the East.

Kemba Walker was supposed to be part of a big 3 when they got him. He is not even or has been an average player in Boston. The Charlotte Walker is what Boston thought they were getting. Not this slow and short non shooting version.

True. Kemba and Charlotte knew what they were doing- Giving him a golden parachute. He will never play a lick of defense. The only times he will have great games is if his jump shots and long threes hit. I didn't agree on Celtics taking him in. He is laughing all the way to the bank.

Their difficulty with the Pistons is shocking. 3 games with them, all close. They didn't even have Plumlee last night -he's really the hub of their offense.

Overall I wouldn't say they're overrated or underrated. Taken to 7 games by the Raptors last season and undone in the East finals. Still ahead of the Raptors and still behind the HEAT.

Jayson Tatum continues to prove every few games that he is just not as great a player as Danny Ainge predicted. Don't get me wrong, he is a good player, but I just don't see him ever becoming a player like a Paul Pierce. The Celtics think or thought he would be. It's never going to happen and I'd be surprised if he retires a Celtic. Jaylen Brown is much better and much tougher.

Whaaat?! Brown is a great defender and great in transition but he's not a lead guy. He can score in bunches, but I can't ever envision a team putting the ball in his hands at the end of the game. Tatum is already that guy. Not as good as Pierce yet, but some day...

Celtics need to swap T.Thompson for a frontline talent. If finger pointing had a hall of fame he'd be in it. Seen in Cleveland and now here that kind of stuff is bad for morale.
