I'm going to get serious here for a minute.
If I'm a business man and own this team I am hiring the best candidate available for this job.
That is the best man that meets all the criteria I am looking for, you know as the catch phrase says "the best man available that checks all the boxes"

If that man is black, he's hired, if that man is white, he's going to be hired.
If he's Eskimo..... well you get my point.

I am hiring the best available man for the job and I don't give a shit what any "special interest group" tells me what to do or who to hire.
It's my business, I run it the way I see fit, not the way certain groups of people may want.

Like you said, Boston was the original super team that was put together.

What are you talking about? Allen & Garnett were traded to the Celtics. Or are you saying they're the first team to have a big 3? Good lord...

He's a spin doc. Couldn't spin his way out of blowing a 3-1 series lead for a 4th time. Ballmer is a fool on TV but apparently has some sense.

You started by saying you would hire the best candidate then all you said after that was that you would hire the best MAN. Your mom would be proud.

    You want to play semantics?
    OK

1)'Man' in the context that I used it, re-read my original post again, is interchangeable with the word 'person'.
    2) You can't spell the word 'woman' without 'man'

Now I don't know if were being serious, half serious, or just having fun, but if you were being serious you knew damn well what I meant, and playing the semantics game with me is a game one generally doesn't win.

Now if you were joking around then ha-ha good one, I get it, but if you weren't then I suggest lighten up Francis.

    Carry on

How can it be an affirmative action hire when there are way more blacks in the league than whites?

Doc Rivers was a proven good coach if he would have just coached the Clippers. He got caught up in the BLM crap which is fake news..

He won a title in Boston though.. He had the big 3 though. Mature players..

He isn't a good coach. He was going to get fired a few weeks before the Garnett trade with Boston.

The guy doesn't make adjustments in the playoffs while other coaches do. That's why he keeps blowing leads.

I’m just fukking with you. I don’t take anything serious on this site. Strictly entertainment. But your post was funny (Reread it) because it started off as hiring the best candidate then said man, man, man. Haha

After productive meetings with Philadelphia 76ers ownership and management on Wednesday, Doc Rivers has emerged as a serious candidate to become the franchise's next coach, sources tell ESPN.

Danton’s makes the best sense in Philadelphia, he has his flaws but his offenses have been great every where and that’s the issue in Philadelphia, anyone could have won in Boston with those players.

the fact that Doc only won 1 title with that stacked roster shows exactly why he's a horrible coach. then all the choke jobs with the stacked Clips rosters he always had

poor Sixers fans if they do this although any coach who takes that job will have a mess on their hands

Possible because most coaches have always been decent former American players and they are becoming more scarce

Maybe...the real story will be when the majority of owners are black.

Wonder what trades the Sixers will make in the offseason.

    Yeah,

Good luck Doc with softer than cream cheese Embid and his overrated PG Simmons who can't hit a 3 point shot if his life depended on it in a 3 point NBA league.

Doc is destined to yet another failure.

I'm a very underated poster here.....

"Paul George said the LA Clippers failed to make any adjustments during their stunning NBA playoff meltdown last season when they blew a 3-1 second-round series lead to the Denver Nuggets.

Appearing Wednesday on the "All The Smoke" podcast with Stephen Jackson and Matt Barnes, a candid George talked about the Clippers' failure to do anything to stop the bleeding once Denver began its comeback, saying they were "having the same s--- happen over and over again."
