I'm thinking the NBA and NHL are done. But I also thought Bloomberg was gonna partner with Crooked Hillary and buy the election.

Hopin this tentative baseball plan in Zona plan works out.

No sports betting; no gym.....these are the times that try mens' souls.

MLB can start as late as August. Do not need a full season, just play as many games as possible for August, September, maybe part of October and then playoffs in Domed Stadiums.

MLB is too greedy to let this go. Don't need fans, just TV revenue.

if the nba comes back who is going to mop up the sweat after nearly every down court trip with 10 bodies dropping puddles of it in the lane. will they replace the mop after every quarter or every basket or rebound. will the drippings encased in the mop stay airborne long enough to drift over to the benches or scorer's tables. there will be no return of the nba or nhl this year.

supposedly. so no nba player, coach, or one of the 8 assistant coaches, tv analysts, color guys or multitudes of other people there (no fans) ever coughed or sneezed during a game. when 3 officials are huddled looking into a replay screen will they be 6' apart. the nba circus is over for this year.

    Done until 21.

Many people underestimate the fans roles in this. If anyone wants sports with no fans, you can have it. Between the health risk and no one being able to afford it, it's tough sledding ahead. And putting in context how fans help make sporting moments, I can't imagine seeing these sequences without the role of the fans:

you may have no choice. if you think fans will go running back into stadiums, arenas, and golf peanut galleries (those are the worst because they are stacked person to person), then you are in for a huge surprise.

enjoy the past with those crowd ovations, because they might be gone for years.

society might be changed for two to three years or longer after this.

it will be tough for fans to scream for great sports plays when they are all wearing N95 respirators.

league lawyers will push right back. a string of lawsuits due to team personnel sickness or death could bring a franchise to its knees

if you love sports, you will change and accept it. or you will leave.

i used to absolutely love attending baseball, basketball, and football games, back in the late 80's and early 90's. it was a great experience.

then the commercialism and crowds took over and i simply don't go back.

    others went back.

if you truly love sports, you will watch the game when there are no fans and you will appreciate the players, coaches, quality of the game with the refs, and the announcing. so you won't get the crowd noise? BFD

one thing is for sure: sports does not care because they will replace you with another fan.

Gut feel, NBA is gonna make a Kobe tribute Laker championship work this year, even if the games are played at Lebron's house. 😁

Can have the empty stadium play with simulation crowd noise artificially done in the key moments.. That could be done.. Artificial crowd noise with every score or big play for both teams.. Can do that for tv viewers and in the stadium loud speakers..

The leagues will have to get creative to keep player and fan interest at peak levels...

Anthony Towns surely ready to get back in action. His mother would obviously want him to risk the same fate just to toss a ball around for our pleasure.
