Is it time for the Hornets to move Paul?

I dont think they need him anymore and they want to save money anyways. Collison is better than him anyways and i think they will ship his ass out in the summer and that would improve the team. Am I wrong ?

You make some good points...but Paul is an icon around New Orleans so I really don't think they'll get rid of him any time soon

Dont think Collison is better personally but not gonna get into that. Yes they should move ONE of them, Paul still has a higher value so maybe its him

Collison is better than the best PG in the league? Seriously?...he is good, better than anyone could have expected, but let's don't get crazy..the hornets are 1 game below .500 when paul is out.

    How quickly they forget...

Wasn't Paul in the MVP discussions the last couple of years. You don't go from that to being the second best guard on your own team that fast.

having paul makes them no better than without him. getting rid of him could make this franchise better long term

Collison isnt better than Paul but yea it makes sense for NO since they wanna save money and Collison is a very good starting pg in this league. Hopefully Cuban will get him to Dallas

If they get rid of Paul, I'm not sure how the Hornets will stay In NOLA...when they are able to get rid of Peja and MoPete, Hornets should be pretty good next year.

it would be a business move- not a jock contest. collison is adequate to replace paul. hornets dont care about anything other than money- are you new to nba finances?

Absolutely not better than Chris Paul. But moving CP3 would not be a bad idea if they could get it right.

Paul is that team if they get rid of him the hornets will move to another city. He brings the ticket buyers in. Are you new to nba fiances?

Yeah, the only reason they would trade Paul would be if the owner wanted to move the team...but pretty sure the team is being sold to a local owner soon, which is good for the city of NOLA.

I wouldn't say Collison is better than Paul, I think that is kinda going overboard. Collison turns the ball over a ton, but he is a rookie and that will improve in time. Let's put it this way... if Collison continues to play the way he is for the rest of the season, do you really think his value will be that much less than Paul's? Maybe in the public's eye, but basketball people will know and be able to compare their value.

Collison's not better, or as proven as Paul over the long term, but he definitely produces what the Hornets need at a fraction of the cost.

As much as other people have pounded you for that Collison comment- I think I know what you mean- they could probably get a stud 2 guard to play along Collison if they got rid of Paul.
But to say there is a better point guard in the league- let alone Collison- is utter nonsense. You have all these people following you, I'm hoping your comment wasn't what you meant.

Deron Williams is the best point in the NBA. And Paul will get traded to the Magic next year.

One reason Collison is as good as he is, he runs to paul on most TOs and paul coaches him up along with Byron scott. Not a bad couple of guys to learn from. He needs more time there, but u could totally sell CP3. Teams would give up tons. I Love ty lawson! But if u could get CP3 to replace billups, denver looks crazy good

announcers were actually discussing this on espn the other night, when of them bought up a possible move to the grizzlies for sum of their young guys...gay gasol etc..seems like it would def b smart to trade him even though hes the face of that franchise..collison has shown he can more than hold his own as a starting pt guard and there team can only improve by getting sum other guys around him by trading paul

Arguing the best PG is like arguing the best QB. Its all apples and oranges. Magic have like 9 guards alrdy!

In a non related note, I LOL every time I see Stan Van Gundy because he looks like Ron Jeremy and a used car salesmen had a kid, and he played BBall instead of going into porn or cars.

    Chew on that

Although I disagree with the Williams comment- I absolutely love the idea of CP3 to the Magic. Jameer Nelson is too inconsistent.

Collison isn't better. Collison fits the team better. CP needs to learn how to be a point guard and run the team rather then doing everything for the numbers.

I wouldn't give a damn if we had 12 guards. If you can get a top 3 point guard to go with the best center you go for it. And I hate Stan Van Gundy.

we will be talking about my boy stephen curry pretty soon as the best point guard in the league, just wait..look how good he is on a shit team....i think u have a very valid point with this lb, it does make basketball sense to ship him...he is a damn good player though and the jury is still out on collison but he looks really good

    wrong.

chris paul showed his frustrations with his team all season long, he was genuinely pissed off at everyone you could tell. paul respects noones skill on the current HORNETS squad, early in the season paul tried to do it all himself. we all saw how that worked out.
