    If James Dolan Was Smart.....Please Read!

    He would IMMEDIATELY offer Kawhi Leonard, who is the best two-way player in the NBA, the biggest contract in which Kawhi couldn't refuse. The Knicks have a ton of money, picks, and some young talent. Asking him to sell the team is stupid.

    Money talks and despite Kawhi wanting to play on the West Coast, he would take the money. This would also entice a 2nd tier player to join Kawhi and the Knicks.

    The Knicks would've had to wait for a damaged KD and Kyrie is a diva. Will Dolan do it? No. If I was the owner, Kawhi would he the richest player in basketball. Nobody wants to play for Dolan and us long-time Knicks fans suffer.

    Doesn't work like that. Everyone can offer him the same contract.

    Raptors can offer slightly more but Leonard is almost certainly going to sign a short term deal to sign a supermax in 2 years.

    nba has max contracts. they don't allow that. toronto can pay him more than anyone because years ago they thought the chance at an extra 50 million for staying with a team would work. but when guys have shoe contracts for 300 million, they aren't really worried about that.

    like stated it won't matter 1 bit...The superstars (Top 10 players in the league) contracts are only their 'walking around pocket money' anyway...shoe deals and endorsements pay them MUCH more than their contracts...so in lieu of playing for one of the current sh*tiest franchises he'll take a few mill less per year to go play for a team with potential
