    Houston Rockets royally screwed.

Chris Paul demands a trade and harden says to choose between them.

Problem is Chris Paul has that absurd contract he will be hard to get rid of. And forget about getting value.

Only option would be flipping him for another bad contract.

But actually the Rockets GM was on the Dan Patrick show today and said they plan to keep Paul because they want to pursue a 3rd star and letting one go would not be making progress

Doubt a team with cap space would just absorb that contract.

Only option is a team with other bad contracts.

Miami makes some sense. Tyler Johnson and James johnson and maybe a draft pick.

Rockets are pulling hard to get Jimmy butler. but he wants to play with Kyrie or KD. CP & Harden will be fine if they get another star but the turmoil might linger if they fail to sign anybody or renovate the roster somewhat

Chris Paul's age and contract are ridiculous - Houston will likely have to eat some money to move him. Milwaukee would be a good fit for Paul, he's a good shooter unlike Bledsoe and Milwaukee has to be looking to move on from Bledsoe after he was trash again in the playoffs.

I think it is close to 40,40,40. Like 120 owed.
NBA is a salary cap league, and spending that much money/% on an aging, frequently hurt player who doesn`t even really fit with Harden
    was a hugely moronic move.
They made their bed, now they have to sleep with in it.

Exactly! He's nothing but a dick-punching, overrated LOSER! I really hope someone gives him the Ol "Kermit Washington" special before he retires, but to his crotch instead of his face!

Bottom line: the only worse contract in the NBA at this point is John Wall's.

Harden is every bit the overrated loser cp3 is. At least Paul looks like he always giving it his all. Harden don’t even give a shit bout anything but his imflated numbers.

Trade Paul with James and then the Lakers have a chance to win a championship with a point guard center combo.

Paul should redo the contract... don't know how many years left??? Even he knows he's not worth the price.

as a rocket fan i say trade harden and keep paul. cp3 wants to win and has problem trying to tell harden how to move w/o the ball. Harden screws with the spacing.

This Harden/D’Antoni system of dribbling while everyone else stands around may help accumulate stats for MVP race, but it will never win. It will lead to anger and frustration with other players. CP3 way too smart and not going to keep his mouth shut because he knows it. This team peaked when they were up 3-2 on GSW last season, and I don’t think there’s any way they can even sniff a championship with Harden as the centerpiece unless they change this style of play. Harden is soft and he’s a loser. Guys are going to start dropping like flies around him. CP3 past his prime now, but I’d take him 10/10 times in his prime over Harden because he’s smarter and tougher.

    a bit of a mess.....

i agree no other team will want cp3's contract...

i think that's something that many people don't understand. that many players in NBA have negative value. i think most people on this forum understand it. but other nba forums people look at it like a fantasy league i.e. chris paul has good stat line.

NBA player's association will not let players renegotiate contracts like they do in the NFL

If the Celtics don't get Kyrie, trade Paul for Hayward straight up. Change of scenery might be good for both guys. Rockets could then focus on resigning Austin Rivers who fit in pretty well.

It will be interesting to see if HOuston will eat some of Paul's contract to move him, the Lakers might be interested if they strike out on Kemba and Kyrie, but not at 32 million a year.

Not the worst idea, but Heyard and Harden seems like a redundant combo. Not a good fit. Nice idea for C's.

Honestly... doesn't matter anyways.... Harden is a joke in the playoffs. Houston isn't going anywhere.
