my thoughts exactly when i saw the odds. dont bother. odds are they could slip down to +2000 during the middle of season. not good odds to lay +1400 right now and even if it were more this is a longshot bet not worth taking.
hell of a run by the Warriors past 5 years but the 90's Bulls still on top
they might still be able to compete for one more Finals run but i dont see them being better than the Laker and Spur dynasty from 2000's. Lakers had 5 titles in that 10 yr run. Spurs had 4 titles also in that span and eventually 5 long after. i dont see Warriors getting to 5 by the end of 2024

Not that I care the key is if Durant opts into his player options for 32 million, if Durant opts out and the Warriors fill his spot with a max player, Curry and Green come back, the bench gets deeper, they will have a shot. If Durant opts in or they sign Durant long-term they are probably done next year.

Disagree. +200 was just way off IMO. You can make the case that Raptors are still the better team even if Thompson's healthy. Then consider Iguodala who's such an important part of their team and he'll be 36 next year. Their bench is still terrible. They can make some moves of course but what if Durant opts in? Or they sign Durant long term out of guilt? Then you also have the Rockets and Lakers to contend with in the West and even the Blazers who got swept were up big in 3 games, and that was without Nurkic. It's a crap shoot right now before free agency takes place. Anticipate a few significant moves around the league coming up with major roster shakers.
Philly worth a look depending on what happens. They could take the league by storm if cancer stick butler gets moved. Even if embiid gets hurt, with butler out of the way Simmons could go off the same way penny hardaway did with the Orlando magic back in the 90s

Pretty crazy change in the odds. I really think the Lakers are getting over-hyped. Yes, next year they might be quite good, but as the odds read, the team with the best chances of winning the title?? That seems rather extreme. I actually thought the Bucks might be the best team to take - surprised when the Warriors chances went so far down that the odds on the Bucks didn't appear to get altered at all.
All speculation though - long ways away and so much can happen! Only time will tell.
