Lue was never the problem. When a washed up average Kevin Love is your best player, that's the problem. Love is average on offense and below average on defense. He only puts up numbers because you feed him. He doesn't create matchup problems, you don't have to double him and he doesn't make players around him better. Let's blame all this on the coach.

Lue was the problem, awful coach. And Love was brought in as part of a Big 3 with Lebron and Kyrie. He is never a #1 option. He is a supplementary player.

Lue will make a good assistant coach somewhere.

Really shocking to me that someone with no HC experience whatsoever would get the top coaching gig in the world when he did, but that's how it goes when you fire the existing HC mid-season... you have to pick from the assistants.

People would scoff at the notion of experience being important. As if you can learn play calling & leadership in a library. He played in the league for 10 years, and was an assistant under Rivers in Boston they'd say. Blatt had what, 30 years experience?

That proves if you give Lue talent he can win as a coach. If you don't give him talent (current Cavs roster) he's going to lose.

So Cavs organization wasn't able to keep their best talent in Kyrie and Lebron, but people want to say Lue is the problem. Sounds like the people running the organization is the problem.

the organization is definitely the problem, paying love 145 mil over the next 5 seasons, they didnt get any good players in the offseason and have a crappy product on the floor that no coach in the history of coaching can win nba games with. the last game hood, hill, thompson, osman, and dekker are the starting 5, completely laughable.

Maybe the Browns and Cavs can merge and field one competitive sports team. Maybe Bobsled? Luge?
