LeBron James Chides Cleveland Browns Kicker

When Gonzalez got another chance to send the game to overtime after the Saints took a 21-18 lead, the result of the 52-yard try seemed inevitable. He missed, of course, drawing the ire of tortured Browns fans everywhere, including LeBron James, who posted his reaction on Instagram.

He better not say my bad,” James said. “No, he better not — he might get his ass whooped.”

Missing four kicks feels bad. Drawing that kind of heat from LeBron James as a Cleveland athlete might feel even worse.

There are too many other kickers out there who would kill to be in his position, and they are working them out in the next few days.

Zane, you didn’t let the city down. If anything, by missing those kicks, the people of Cleveland can continue to live normal lives. Who knows what may have happened to those people if their brains attempted to process the sheer joy of beating a team like the Saints. The tie last week was enough for now; they can only take small amounts at a time. You’re a good man, Zane.

don't look for dan bailey in cle

One name conspicuously absent? Dan Bailey, the second-most accurate kicker in league history who was released by the Cowboys earlier this month because he was making too much money.

So where is Bailey? ESPN.com's Adam Schefter reports that the kicker has already rebuffed four teams who inquired about his services and, yes, one of those teams was the Browns.
The Vikings might be a more attractive landing spot for Bailey should they part ways with rookie Daniel Carlson, who missed all three field-goal attempts against the Packers, including two in overtime.

FG kicker was mush.. Browns are covering the spreads though with ease but still haven't found ways to win ball games yet.. They are improved from last year but still cursed..

I will be playing the Browns to cover until the lines tighten up.. They are money to cover week to week I believe..

If anyone would know how to spot a homo it would be the bald guy who works double shifts at the hole pulling in $13.75 a day at a quarter a pop.

Comparing apples to oranges. FG kicker has one job. LeBron on court does everything.

Browns just being the Browns here.

yes. Roberto Aguayo couldn't miss at FSU. Tampa then drafted him and fell apart and was cut.

I kicked 30 yard FGs with tennis shoes at the NCAA football hall of fame and made them easily. There is no reason kickers be missing more that 10% which is due to bad snaps or holder errors.

I think Lebron is giving fake outrage to endear himself to Cleveland fans. Who's ass is he going to kick? Come on. It's a fukking game, not real life. If he thinks Gonzalez disappointed Cleveland fans more than him, he's deluded.

Making a FG is a MUCH higher probability outcome, or at least it should be for an NFL caliber kicker

Lebron is one of the most clutch performers in NBA history, get your facts right rookie

Kicker missed 3 field goals with in reasonable range in that game, time to find a new profession.. I'm with Lebron on this.. That can't happen if you expect to win ball games..

Zane Gonzalez is done, won't be able to make a fg over 30 yards now when it counts. One of the worst fg kickers in NFL

The best for my money is Ryan Succop, clutch as they come

Cleveland is a crap city full of crime, murder and drugs. Last place you'd wanna raise your kids and family..

It was a shiiit hole way before Lebron came and it still is now that he's gone.. Lebron didn't fix shiiiit.. Stop it!!!! He brought excitements in sports and an NBA Championship to the city which didn't fix the problems... Made fans happy for a brief time that's all..

A championship from the Indians or Browns would mean a lot more to Cleveland than what the Cavaliers did.
