    Steve Kerr APPRECIATION THREAD

Coaching does matter fellas? I agree you need the players - OKC- once had harden/Westbrook and Durant with ibaka/Reggie Jackson ? That’s not more talented then GSW roster? But those guys was never coach up right? Coaches let them run there iso shit with no ball
    Movement

Why can’t a team of harden/Westbrook/Durant be a dynasty? Instead klay/curry/green ? This is a perfect example of coaching

This should be more of a Mark Jackson Roast thread or an indictment on Mark Jackson than a Steve Kerr appreciation thread

The dumbest poster here could cruise to the finals with this roster. I appreciate Kerr's championship winner in the 90s with the bulls and getting in a fight and a black eye in practice with Jordan.

    That's about it

Getting these guys to play together and coexist he doesn't get enough credit

They also played zero defense under jackson

    Few could pull this off

Still think he's overrated. Basically this team minus Durant made Luke Walton look amazing. He sucks as a coach. These last couple Finals have pretty much featured the best players with overrated coaches. Just my opinion.

?? LOL-LOL-LOL. Kerr brought in the ball
Movement - learn some nba Kidd - how come OKC never won? Durant? Harden? Westbrook isn’t a more talented roster then green/klay/curry ?

Kings back in the days started that ball movement with c-webb/Peja- 2014 spurs ran it too perfection- when Kerr took over in 2015 you can see a tremendous difference in GSW offense

Stevens didn’t do a great job? What other team can survive losing 2 all stars and still winning with rookies and 2nd 3rd year players?

its a little unsettling, almost like how people use to talk about the qbs that did well for the Pats when Brady was injured, little different but ya know.

Auctually lebron might of had the best 3 playoff games ever - it’s not Kerr fault Harrison Barnes can’t hit wide open shots? Not to mention warriors didn’t score in the last 4 minutes 2016 nba finals ? Oh and Kyrie had the clutch 3-

Auctually Kerr already planted his system in 2015 so of course when Walton took over ? Not much is going change with the ball movement ? Like I said before a team of Durant/Westbrook/harden never won a chip? That roster isnt more talented then GSW?

that doesnt mean anything. coaches have their own systems, kerr plays faster, if D'antoni coached them theyd prob score even more points, curry, thompson all a year older and better also when kerr got them. why dont kerr get some grief for even accepting durant on his team he certainly didnt need him. why does a great coach need so much?

Mark Jackson couldn’t even draw up a offensive set - go look at videos pre -

How come nobody hire him since GSW fired him? So players can be good coaches?

I wouldnt, if I already had the team I had that won 73 games, I would have gotten a decent 3 and built up my bench.

could be a number of reasons, I dont care if he never coaches again, rare that a coach lasts more than a few years anyway. supposedly he wasnt fired for coaching inabilities so perhaps there's other reasons. lets not forget kerr did something no one has ever done before and that is lose a finals up 3-1. I hated that, I wanted GSW to be this great dynasty, all built with homegrown drafted talent, would have been great but they lose and then go and sign Durant, that screwed things up for me. I dont see them as some great dynasty now or even a dynasty really.

I am a honest fan - I would give Marc Jackson some credit - he got the ball moving- I was auctually piss when he got fired - but management made the right move - did people whine when bulls won 6 championship in 8 years? Kobe/Shaq 3 peat! Boston won 7-8 championship in a row?

Why work hard and not get rewarded? Work less and be a champion- someone in life offer you a better job? You wouldn’t take it?

I thought the consensus was that we all pretty much hated these super teams, its made the league worse. so youre a lifelong gsw fan? of course you love it.

they didnt go out and add a former league mvp a 30 pt guy to their team though, they added complimentary things like more rebounding and defensive guys in rodman and harper, thats different to me. I never liked those Lakers teams so dont have much to say about them other than Kings got robbed and was happy when Pistons beat them.

Steve Kerr is a rad human being. Really great that he uses his platform to rip our current clown of a president
