    Phila backers check in

I started buying the ML yesterday
    and may be adding today.
Jalen Brown out - will help an already superior Phila offense
Phila proving themselves - that road close-out at Miami
Simmons and Embiid are beasts Boston can't stop
It's done for this patchwork Boston team.
Next season they have Irving and Hayward back.

Unfortunately I agree the celts meet their demise this series as well. No Erving, Hayward , and now brown with a hammie.

I am looking forward to next year. With Erving, Hayward being healthy ( hopefully) but I’m more excited of watching Tatum in his second year. I think there is no ceiling for his potential.

Will the injuries ever stop in the Stevens era? Is he cursed?

I like Philly for the series for sure, but anyone else surprised to Philly as 3.5 pt faves on the road on Game 1?

The Haywood one was so F.U. 5 freaking minutes into his Boston tenure.
Silver lining is the experience the kids got without Haywoods minutes.

Irving seems to have an ongoing injury bug. One can only hope Stevens gets a chance to coach his entire roster next year.

Tread carefully when pounding Philly in this series fellas.. Boston held a 3-1 regular season advantage against the Sixers.. In each of those 3 wins (2 at Philly and one at the Garden) they won by 10 points or more.. In other words the Celtics this year have played the Sixers VERY tough.. Numbers don't lie...

I'm leaning on playing the Celtics and the points at home in game 1 myself if I do decide to bet it...

"Boston sported a 3-1 advantage in the regular-season series. The Celtics managed two road wins by respective scores of 102-92 and 114-103, as well as a 108-97 victory on their home floor."

    - Embiid did not play in 97-108 loss
    - 103-114 loss was in London
    - Kyrie Irving and Jalen Brown won't be playing tonight, but they
were big reasons why Boston was able to match up in regular season
especially Irving who is a superstar.

    Good stuff Snowy I know.

Still when you beat a team 3 out of 4 times (by 10 points or more in each) in the regular season that gives you a sense of confidence.. I don't think the Celtics are gonna fold like everyone thinks.. This series could go seven and remember Boston holds the home court advantage...

This game 1 will tell us alot...

All of those games were played by mid January. Both teams have a totally different makeup right now. Sixers didn't have Ilyasova or Belinelli back then. Boston is without Irving and Brown. That being said they're still a stellar defensive team. This is a 6 or 7 game series.

Jibby, I have a photographic memory and pre-recorded the Philly team that beat Miami
and the Celtic team that edged Milwaukee..took out Jalen Brown and rolled the tape
Philly will beat them - and it won't be hard.

Philly struggled with the Heat early on in that series.. Can be arguably said this Celtics team is better then that Heat team..

Boston plays em tough tonight.. Don't over think it... Bench steps up at home...

I'm not buying into all this one team is rested and one is not.. Remember every playoff game has a day off in between.. It's not like they are playing back to back nights.. All teams should be rested and ready to go..

Due to injury not fatigue in the playoffs.. Regular season teams play back to back, playoffs that never happens.. They rest on the day off and usually aren't traveling either in the playoffs..48 hours is enough time for these pro athletes to recover...

Even Lebron will be ready and rested tomorrow... Recovery treatments are off the hook these days for pro athletes....
