He's shot the ball three times today.

He must've told his teammates he would share the ball today if they helped him get the rebounds he needs.

    17 rebounds
    14 assists

He's a stat stuffer without any awareness of the game. Sad.

LeBron James is been the MVP to last 14 Straight years and everybody knows it

Westbrook plays for triple doubles and can care less about team success

There would be no denying him tonight. He would've probably pulled a Ricky Davis if it came down to it.

One play he completely left his man to go stand under the rim and when the shot was missed boxed out Carmelo and grabbed the board.

Good comparison. He's Ricky Davis with a little more athleticism.

he's a fu(king disgrace. His team needing a win to avoid the 8th seed and he's chasing stats. No one has the stones to challenge him on it.

His team won the game, what are you talking about?

You are aware it takes stats to win, right?

Markell Fultz had a triple double tonight, he must be playing the game all wrong. There are other players that could have grabbed those boards and scored those points.

Bug eyed ugly penetrating piece of shit, only worried about stats. You can't tell me he would have got that many rebounds in a normal situation.

He averaged a triple double for the entire season, he didn't just grab a shit ton of boards in one game

Do you also get upset when a pitcher goes over his pitch count o get a no-hitter?

Lebron could average a triple-double every night if he wanted. Fortunately, he understands that asking his teammates to clear out of the way so he can get some meaningless rebounds doesn't really make his team better.

So you're a Westbrook apologist... He has his teammates box out so he can scoop up near 20 boards to average a triple double. What happened to optimal rebounding strategy? When he chases assists it's an even bigger problem as opposing teams play him for the pass, understanding that's what he's after.

LeBron tried to average a triple double this year and couldnt do it because its super hard. Players complained early in the season that they felt he was padding stats. Averaged the most rebounds and assists of his career this year but it still eluded him.

Lebron is easily the best player in the league, hands down no argument....but Westbrook is still an elite talent and obviously future HOFer
Thunder were always beating Memphis G-league Grizzlies anyway so who cares if he tries to scoop up a few extra rebounds or whatever? Makes no difference

To average a triple double over the course of a season twice is ridiculously impressive any way you slice it. Even if you're only about the stats, 99.9% of NBA players still couldn't average a triple double over the course of a season, or even come close honestly

I guess that makes you a westbrook hater. His team won by nearly 20, he got other players involved and for a for some reason even though they he was chasing assists the opposing team could not stop him.

And yes, LBJ is the best player in the league and should get the mvp every year. Now, him and Westbrook are victims of their own success

There's been free money on Harden as MVP for months now.

It's still impressive what Westbrook has done.

Do we seriously think other NBA players don't try??

Or that ofhers players don't wish they could put up a triple double for even 1 single game?

Westbrook averaging a triple-double for two seasons in a row should be on the front page of ESPN but it's like one of the smaller 3rd articles down.

Harden could easily have done it last season if he had gotten his teammates on board -unfortunately self-awareness/ self-respect held him back.. Simmons will do it someday soon if he wants to. But the point that escapes the brain dead on here is not whether it's difficult to do it but that stats are so important to him. Petty.
