Despite being 33, how come Lebron shows no signs of slowing down?

I find this fascinating. Dude is 33, yet he's playing like he's 23. Never injured and still at the top of his game. One would think there would be at least small signs of slowing down, but the dude is still playing at the same level putting up super star numbers.

Amazing. We may not see anything like this again.

If it is in fact HGH, once he hits the wall expect a swift, precipitous physical and mental fall a la Tiger Woods and Rafael Nadal

Pretty simple. He’s a freak of nature athlete. All of us could spend the money and follow that regiment and still not be half the physical specimen Lebron is.

It will just hit Lebron in no time. It just hits you one day unexpectedly. His time hasn't come yet... but time is ticking.

All it takes is one leg injury.... and he won't ever be the same.

Like a snap of a twig.

    This is true

A lot of people like to act like it's hard work and dedication when it's mostly genetics

99% of the white male population could have followed Lebron around since he was 15 doing exactly everything he did and still not be able to dunk

One injury away before he feels like he got hit by a truck. No one dominates for 2 decades.

It's both and you cannot say which one is more important to an individual, especially when you nothing of their hard work or routine.

It's the nature vs nurture debate, and the answer is always the same, it's both.

I remember the hype around him coming out of HS, it was unreal. He may be the one guy that was overhyped at that age that actually exceeded all expectations.

He's been great for so long, guys think he's slowing down and forget he is still one of the best players in the game today. He won the MVP award 4 out of 5 years, now nobody even wants to talk about him because our expectations of him are so high, he's finally not exceeding them. LBJ should get the MVP trophy every year, no player is more important to their team or the league than he is.

    I know it's both

But it's way more nature than nurture when it comes to athletics. Genetics gets you in the race, hard work and dedication helps you win by a nose.

You've heard of the 5 tools of a MLB prospect? Fielding, throwing, running, hitting, and hitting for power? You know what is missing? Work ethic.

Let's look at the NFL and consider two prospects with characteristics on a scale of 1-10, 10 being the best.

Player A has athletic ability 10, work ethic 5

Player B has athletic ability 5, work ethic 10

Which player gets scouts drooling over him and multi million dollar contract offers, and which player is lucky to start his senior year on a Division II team?

Hard work and dedication make you a better athlete, it doesn't make you an athlete

he is slowing down, cavaliers are dog crap, might even lose 3rd seed to phily

when lebron was at his best the cavs would cruise to no 1 seed with a lot less talent around him than he has now

Statistically this is the best season of his career, but he will not be able to step up in the playoffs because he is not as explosive as before. Philly a huge favorite. Getting the 4 seed may be better also because Washington more dangerous.

It's happening all sports guys are lasting longer. Brady, Federer, Lebron, etc.

Lot's of advances in diet and supplements. People now know you aren't supposed to eat eggs and beef to get big muscles and lasting longer, but getting smarter and more experienced.

This... He has slowed down a lot the last few years. He's just much more efficient and shooting better. He used to get chase down blocks every night. He doesn't even play defense most nights now. He use to be able to attack over 2 and 3 guys. He has to take jump shots now because he can't blow by everyone anymore. James Johnson made him look like a clown tonight. Totally shut him down. He never had nights like tonight.

Every athlete dopes or did dope or still dopes..............

This is a very honest full doc made by a family of dopers themselves........

The dopers are always a few steps ahead of their authorities........

Anyone can dope and pass dope tests as scientists and Dr.'s always change up
    undetectable "for the moment" formulas..........

And he should get mvp again this year but he won't

Lebron is a once in a lifetime freak of nature/athlete. He is so genetically gifted that he is a man among boys in the NBA.

In Lebron’s case I gotta say natural talent got him there but hard work kept him this good for so long

I seriously doubt he was working that hard as a freak of nature high school phenom but I know he has and does now

Not even a knock on him, some people are born with a brilliant mind...you make the best at what you’re born with and Lebron obviously has done that
