    Since the Blake Griffin trade......

    Clippers are 9-3.

    Pistons are 5-9.

Add what they got for Chris Paul and you can see why Jerry West is the best in the league.

You cannot argue with facts. Clippers are relevant again. Pistons continue to make dumb moves.

Their reasoning was they couldn't get a star in Detroit through free agency so they were forced to overpay. Can't wait to see what they do in the off season to fix other positions. If they can't make big moves, they'll end up moving Griffin.

Griffin sadly is not a stud on a championship contender, he can only be the secondary player like LaMarcus Aldridge

I would be a seller of lottery picks as a policy of managing a team. Very low percentage of lottery picks live up to expectation, yet they are paid like royalty until they bounce out of the NBA. Same philosophy applies to NFL - trade top draft picks as a rule.

As a GM you want guys who are out-playing their draft position. They are underpaid, and proven pros and motivated.

BTW I know there are plenty of forum posters that like to bash Blake, but I doubt he is the problem. I do like to watch this guy play, and I think he has many good years in front of him. Pistons simply gave too much for him.

I can't figure it out with him. He has a decent team game. It's just not conducive to making a team better.

HATED the rumor that came out a few years ago about the Celts looking to aquire Griffin.
I can`t put my finger on it either, BUT to me he is all show and no go. Plus he is fragile. Not a winner.

This isn’t surprising. To me it was clear the Pistons got worse (not only now, but for the next few years with Griffin’s awful contract) and the Clippers were better off.

I think griffin force would be great in Boston dom. As bad as his defense is, horford is just as nonexistent in the paint and Blake has a much higher upside on offense

The only concern would be durability but Boston is so deep, I don't think he would need to play 35+ min a game

Your crazy..Horford is so much better a player than Griffen. Horford knows exactly where to be on defense and offense. Sure he's not flashy or gonna jump off on sportcenter..but Griffen is no where near the player he is

SVG is a terrible coach, but an even worse Team President. The Pistons have been trash since Bill Davidson passed, and will continue to be so under the ownership of the clueless Tom Gores.

Griffin is a good play but not great player.. He shouldn't be the face of any franchise... He's also surrounded by mediocre players in Detroit.. He's asked to carry the load and he's coming up short.. Hense Pistons are losing, coach about to get fired..

Pistons are 6-9 w/Blake, 7-9 since the trade.

However, they're 2-9 in their last 11, with a 6 game road trip starting next week. So they've been pretty much terrible after the initial excitement wore off.

Detroit is by far the least talented team in the league at the 1/2/3 spots if they get anything around Blake next year it will be a good move, he looks great out there.

It's been 15 games since the trade.... and Detroit was 4-0 in their first 4 games with Blake.

2-9 Last 11 games. Van Gundy should be fired. FIRED FIRED FIRED.

I tried to watch a Piston's game with Blake Griffin. Very difficult to watch Blake trying to run
an anemic offense dishing up plays from the high post.
How the mighty have fallen...Blake looks better injured.

On the other hand, the Clips looked good in their loss to N.O. tonight.
Although the Clips battled back from a 1H deficit of 15 to lose by 5. LAC -6 2H
    was ezypzy $$.!!
    Thanks Clips.

The injury is the one to SVG's brain. He's trying to get Blake to be more of a shooter instead of driving to the basket. The Pistons offense has looked like trash ever since they traded for Allen Iverson.

I used to think Stan was a decent hc but I think he's failed to adapt to the current landscape of how the players and more importantly the refs dictate the playing environment compared to the early 2000s

As far as Blake goes I personally think he can help as team more than horford. All the guys saying no have probably never played a day of competitive ball in their lives, obese and pathetic behind a keyboard.

So quick to call Blake trash, let's see that same assessment for LaMarcus alrdidge bc they are the same player

Shades, for the most part I get where you are coming from re. NBA.
The reasons I can`t stand players like Griffin is simple:
ALL the natural physical talent in the world, and basically never improve their skill set.
Those type of players also tend to fold when the going gets tough.

Give me awkward Al Horford all day, every day over Blake.

You're not wrong dom, in fact Blake's physical athleticism is starting to go. He's alrdy lost a step in terms of a quick first step and has less explosion than his first 3 seasons. Couple that with the fact that he hasn't developed some sort of consistent weapon that doesn't rely on athleticism and his days are numbered

And yes he's not a winner but on stacked team like Boston he wouldn't need to be the man at all

But take a look at the AAU program or talk to an NBA scout and they'll say the same thing. You can't teach talent and Blake has that talent that can't be taught
