I'm watching an NBA game from the 90s on NBATV...

Western Conference Semifinals, 1994. Phoenix at Houston.

It's pretty interesting how much has changed over the last 20+ years.

First of all, they hardly ever show the score. Nowadays the score is always on the screen. Back then they would flash it sporadically, usually after a team scored.

Another difference these teams are actually trying to work the ball from the outside to the inside, instead of vice versa. I guess it helps when you have Olajuwon and Barkley on your teams. Hardly any three-pointers.

The last obvious change: I don't think I've seen one player with a tattoo. That's unheard of in this day and age.

The only similarity between back then and today: Marv Albert.

    Yes much different times

Guys would play 82 games, play hurt and never complained

Players today will sit if they had to wipe more on the can

Better athletes today, bigger paychecks, bigger vaginas. Players today treat themselves as a business investment and rightfully so

Knicks games in the early 90s were hilarious. Rugby with terrible offense

Early 90s probably the best group of centers collectively.

They had the dream, the admiral, ewing, a young Shaq, all HOFers

Come to think of it even the power forwards were stacked

90s are boring. 80s are the best especially the later years(pre-Chicago Bulls era). Piston's Bad boys, Showtime Lakers, Bird's Celtics, just to name a few.

Always LeBron's fault, lbj is one of a few players currently playing that could actually play that style of ball. Imagine curry back then lol
