The next game is Saturday morning if he does not play tonight there is not much of a turnaround.

Kind of sad if he isn't 100%.... was hoping for a great series next round.

Philadelphia is toast in the next round.

This team has become somewhat of a laughing stock....Tremendous talent, but organizationally a bit of a joke it seems?

If I was GM of 76ers, I would definitely let the league know I am open for business regarding an Embiid trade.

Let Ben have more room, surround him with shooters and defensive athletes, they will be better off in the new NBA.

As a Celts fan, I hope they max him out. Dude is all world Twitter/INSTA.

    Him and Simmons don't work.

If they get bounced early one is gone for sure.

Lotta solid post here. Guy has nagging knee injury. Nothing career threatening. Brooklyn no match for philly. Let the guy rest till next round.

    Carry on experts

I agree that he should rest till the next round. Don't you find it annoying though as a fan that your centrepiece is always iffy to play?

It’s a nagging knee soreness. Guy played 64 games last year. 63 this. He lost time in the beginning of his career due to a back injury. Has shown no issues there.

But to answer your question..... yes it’s frustrating

was reported today that Brand went to ownership and wanted to trade Simmons early in the season. Said he’s a liability in the half court & teams can figure him out in playoff series. Was immediately told no. I’ve said all year they should trade Simmons.

You can call it nagging knee soreness if you want... but there's no way he'll be 100% next round.

They can play it off all they want.... I don't think he's the kind of player that handles pain well.

So Philadelphia takes on Toronto next round???? Honestly... Toronto can handle Philly. But does the NBA want Toronto to move on??? Seems like they never want a Canadian team to move on in the NBA.

All that rest will just make him fat.. Knees will hurt again next game and even after the rest..

Only way to make it easy on the knee joints is to lose weight, take joint and oil supplements and stop running.. Unfortunately in basketball you have to run..

He's done. He'll play half the games in these playoffs and next year. Be out of the league after that.. He ain't got the Shaq genes that's for sure.. He's worse then Andrew Bynum with the injuries from what I can see at this early age..

Anyone remember BRANDON ROY? Great talent no knees!!! Bye bye from the league in his prime... Embid the same..

So just to be clear, you're predicting Joel Embiid is gonna be done in the NBA in 2 years?

Wasn't embiid the guy who was laughing at someone for elbowing them? Then he made some lame joke about he is sarcastic. To me this isn't about whether he is tough or not.

Philly will get destroyed by Toronto, Gasol is big enough to give Embiid some problems, and they dont have enough shooting.

My guy Embiid looks like he needs to lay off the late night snacks

Heard he is a fiend for milkshakes & Chil Fil A burgers

That’s def not the recipe to longevity in the league especially if you are already beat up

My goodness the kid can hoop though. Effortless buckets. Plays D. Plays w/ energy & emotion. Love it
