Mavs to retire Derrick Harper #

IDK.... seems like a good but not great player. Jersey retired for averaging 15 ppg?

Wolves might as well hang Christian Laettners Jersey up there.

    Harper

why not Shrempf or Uwe Blab??

Nowitzki will be and Kidd the only ex Mav at the moment worthy of a number retirement

Harper helped build the Mavericks from a young organization and getting to the playoffs. Jason Kidd statwise at Dallas doesnt hold a candle to what Harper did there. Kidd wasnt even in Dallas long during both terms lol.

Mark Aguire and Steve Nash at least made all star teams.

    Harper 0 all star games.

Kidd many awards. Sportsman, rookie, etc

Co-ROY averaging 11.7 and 7.7, I think youre thinking of Kidd at other places, not Dallas.

i think he's worthy and i like the link back to the early period of a team's history

my only basketball memory of harper is him running out the clock during a tied game. always know the score, kids
