NBA: What is wrong with modern Players?

Its not even 3 days into the season and it seem like half the players are already out with injury. What is wrong with players these days. Bones are cracking and breaking like tooth picks, tendons are rupturing...

Is it the diet? What is so different from back then.

It is the NBA...nothing is wrong with them...this is how they operate, or fail to operate if you will..

look no further than chemicals in food, and fluoride in the water supply to explain the weakening of bones

ask any decent personal trainer and they will tell you the same thing

Not in playing shape yet, working harder and getting sore during games, injuries then happen.. My take...

Equivalent to putting a racing motor on a golf cart. Frame and rest of the cart isn't meant to handle it.

Look at today’s athletes in all sports and compare them to athletes 20 years ago.

The athletes of today are in much better shape, bigger and stronger.

The injuries are actually the result of bigger, stronger, and faster athletes. It’s not because they are weaker.

More muscle mass means easier to pull or tear something. It also puts more stress on joints and ligaments. Plus, collisions are more violent.

Lol you make a good point... Alot of ignorant posts in this thread..

Also saying players are bigger and stronger and their joints and ligs can't take it is a load of crap too.. Lebron James is a big powerful body and he doesn't get injured.. Shaq was the biggest player ever and was athletic and he didn't get injured often either..

I’m not saying they “can’t take it”. I just said there is more stress on them.

    Most players don’t get injured.

I was responding to people that act d like today’s players have bad diets and our or of shape. It’s actually quite the opposite.

LOL you named two of the best ever. Do I really need to start naming all the "bigs" whose careers were cut short or never happened do to injuries?

That's why I try to stay out of shape. It's just not worth the injury risk.
