Legend Larry didn't quit anything. He was forced out because the owner did not want him dealing PG13 before the team gets sold.

Too bad.. I think the Pacers had a good team this year and Larry did a good job.. Just a player away from maybe contending for a title...

    I don't like the move..

Totally wrong jj, coaches matter in crunch time

Late game coaching more important in NBA than any other sport

Look at Jason Kidd losing his series last night with the dumb play calls and rotations

I think he got worn out of not being able to get past LeBron. How many times has LeBron ended Indiana's postseason hopes in the last 10 years? I would hate to be an NBA GM if you aren't one of the super teams.

What were the bucks doing taking the raptors to 6 without Parker? How did the bucks even make the playoffs?

    Yeah Jason Kidd

To be fair his decisions were pretty dumb. He let vogel walk and brought in MacMillan? Really? Bird let Carlisle walk as well. Guy has a major ego issue.

haha well Bucks took them to 6 because the other HC Dwane Casey is also a crap coach and held on to his Valanciunus+Ibaka rotation while they were getting smoked games 3 and 4, proving my point. He's lucky the Bucks went ice cold 2H of game 4.

Kidd easily the bottom 10% of NBA coaches, what other HC would pull this bush league nonsense?

Seriously not a chance Paul George a cancer ruined the team game one after he bumped his gums out of the locker room that he needed to make that last shot

Never put enough good players on Pacers teams and poor draft picks. Bad decisions with coaching changes, bad decisions with trades and signings. Signed a couple recognizable names, but only after they were long in the tooth and they didnt produce.

They drafted PG & M.Turner in the middle of the 1st round -they did great in the draft! I don't associate drafting with the GM/ president though since it tends to come down to the scouting staff. Trades & signings are where I judge them, and in that regard I agree Bird/ Pritchard have been awful. Trading home town kid G.Hill was stupid.

George and Turner were lottery picks. They drafted Kawhi Leonard but traded him and 2 others for George Hill on draft night, also drafted Caris LeVert who I like alot and traded him, they got Thaddeus Young in return for that one which looks decent only in the short term. Pacers seem perhaps short sighted.

Come on, PG went at #10, that's an outstanding pick. Turner went at #11, another oustanding pick. Both drafts weak so it's not like other teams had better choices.

You're talking about players they drafted for other teams. So yeah they passed up the chance to draft & keep Leonard/ Levert but so did a lot of other teams. Both Morris twins went before Leonard in that '11 draft. Bad trades by the Pacers, we agree on that.

I remember the comparisons for Leonard at the time he was drafted: Shawn Marion...Josh Childress.

Before him were Derrick Williams, Enes Kanter, Brandon Knight, Jimmer Fredette, Alec Burks, Jan Vesely (and the twins) YIKES!

Shawn Marion is ranked as having over 75% chance to make hall of fame he was solid. His first 4 years in the league Kawhi was not a better player than Marion, if Indy drafted him it is very unlikely he would be a hall of famer imo.

Did Indy draft Kawhi and then trade him? Or did they have a trade in place, and Indy picked for SA. There is a big difference. Usually on draft day trades, a team picks for another team. In this case, Indy may not have even taken Kawhi if not picking for SA.

George Hill was a better player than most #11 picks bottom line. There was nobody that thought Kawhi would be this good.

Remember, he had those teams that ran into Jordan and LeBron in the playoffs more than once. Those were some really good squads.
