Would the NBA be better if Golden State and Cleveland didn't exist this season?

I think the answer is yes.

Sure we would miss out on some legendary players, but at least this season would be worthwhile.

Imagine the playoffs without the Warriors and Cavaliers. Every other team would legitimately have a chance at winning at all. That's what basketball needs, some parity. That's why college basketball gets huge ratings during March, because everyone has a chance.

There's no drama when everyone knows who's going to win.

    Sports are terrible without drama.

At least when the Patriots win you get the feeling they might lose somewhere along the way.

No one is beating Golden State or Cleveland.

Everyone seems so sure that finals matchup is happening. Pretty hard to make the finals 3 times in a row.

    Good point.

Lebron could probably lead the Brooklyn Nets to the finals.

Quite the opposite...The Association would be better if it was only The Dubs and The Cavs...
Remove the riff-raff and get down to it.

People knew Bulls was gonna win back in the day before the season started, you just knew MJ would find a way, nothing is a given though. People thought GS surely had it wrapped up last year but nope. Not automatic they both make finals.

That's a lie. Cleveland is -325 to reach the NBA Finals. So basically Cleveland has say about a 70% chance to get to the Finals while Golden State is -350. In other words, Boston and Toronto can possibly beat Cleveland and San Antonio and Houston can possibly beat Golden State, and with all the heavy money pouring in on a GS-CLE rematch, I would not be surprised at all if one gets knocked out.

I personally think Golden State will lose before the NBA Finals.

It would be more fun to watch if the league wasn't full of babies who flail around and whine about foul calls. Bring back some of the physical play and get rid of the double tech.
