Feb 4 - The Daily Breakdown

    YTD 16-14 +5.25u
    NHL 9-7 (+5.25u)
    NBA 7-6 (+2.60u)
    NFL 0-1 (-2.20u)

Big win by the Suns last night, had their ML in a couple low risk, high reward parlays. Nice 2u win. Anaheim was the better team but lost in NHL, losing juice. On to today. (Also, no plays in NHL or NBA tomorrow as I'll be focusing on the big Super Bowl matchup. I'll have a few plays/props)

Detroit Pistons vs. indiana Pacers // Feb 4

    Saturday’s starting five

The Detroit Pistons (23-27) and the Indiana Pacers (27-22) take the court on Saturday night in Indiana. The Pacers (6th) and the Pistons (8th) are both in position to make the postseason this year right now. And even though they’re only separated by two positions, the Pistons are 4.5 games back from the Pacers.

    Start your engines

The Pistons are in playoff position thanks to their home record. They are 14-10 in Detroit, but if they’re not careful, their woeful play on the road will pull them down into oblivion. The Pistons are a sorry 9-17 on the road this season and are 1-5 in their last six away from home. In those six games, they’ve given up an average of 113.2 points per game.
The Pistons come in to tonight’s game with a two-game streak and have put up a pair of big wins. In their last two games, they’ve averaged 117 points. The Pistons will try and stretch their streak to three and equal their longest winning streak of the season. Consistency has been an issue for a team that has the fifth best defence in the league. Although they only give up an average of 101.9 points per game, they only manage to put up 101.4. The Pistons are 7-12-1 ATS as a road dog in Indiana in their last 20.

    Keeping pace

The Pacers have been fighting their way through the Eastern Conference and are currently on a five-game winning streak. During their tear, they’ve put up 109.6 points per game and have been led by Paul George (22.6 PPG).

Like the Pistons, the Pacers’ home record is much more impressive than their away. Holding onto 6th in the East and looking to join the top-tier teams, the Pacers are 18-6 at home this year. The Pacers have found what the Pistons have been searching for: consistency. They have won 12 out of their last 16 games. And against the Pistons this year, the Pacers have won both contests.

    The Final Breakdown

Although the Pacers may seem like the favourite, it is important to note that they are 4-16 ATS in their last 20 back to backs, 3-4 at home, while the Detroit Pistons 12-8 ATS on back to backs, 8-5 on the road…

Im taking the barking dog here.

    Detroit Pistons +4 (-110) 1u
